4.0 out of 5 stars get your torch and light up your cohiba, March 25, 1998
By A Customer
i picked up this book wanting to know more about cigars. this book did not disappoint. it was very informative and useful. the photography was excellent, so excellent, in fact, that looking at all those stogies made my mouth water. so sit down with a nice glass of cognac, a nice cuban, and read "The Cigar".

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a book that actually understands Cigar Cuisine!, April 7, 2003
By "balldrew" (Huntington Beach, CA) - See all my reviews
There are tons of cigar books out there, but this is the first I've found that actually explains how to cook with cigars. The rest of the book is great of course, wouldn't expect any less from Conrad, but the recipes are really where it starts to shine above the others. Unfortunately there is no mention of the cigar burrito (one of my personal favorite dishes), but all of the dishes I've tried have been great. This will definitely give those who complain about the "smell" of cigars something to complain about! To quote the note that came on the cover when this book was given to me, bon appetit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully book for connoisseur's!, February 23, 2008

(REAL NAME)
This book is a great addition to any cigar enthusiasts book collection. It is a short, enjoyable read that has wonderful illustrations and pictures. It is filled with fun facts and takes a light approach to educating the reader on all the intricacies of the world of cigars. I would recommend this book to any one who is interested in learning more about cigars or just wants to further enhance their library.
