This video primer on the finer points of cigars opens with people discussing their cigar-smoking experiences: their first times, the pleasures of a smoke, the famous who partake. Gary Gillis and Carey Smolensky host Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Cigars but Were Afraid to Ask, in which they detail everything from how to select a cigar to when you should smoke it, all the while puffing away on stogies in a bar. Our hosts are personable (albeit a little stilted) and offer concrete advice with a touch of humor (for example, Gillis learned the hard way that one should never inhale on a cigar). Learn about ring gauge and length, how time of day affects your choice of smoke, what the parts of the cigar are, the spirits that accompany them well, how to cut the end, storage, and more. This is a terrific video, complete with glossary of smoking terminology, for the newbie who wants to impress the folks after work at the cigar bar or who simply doesn't want to make a fool of him or herself by choking on too strong a stogie. At times, the video borders on cheesy (as when Gillis and Smolensky demonstrate the pleasures of smoking in a hot tub with two beautiful babes), but a lot of good information is packed into this 30-minute video. --Jenny Brown

This video provided the answers to the questions a novice would ask and provided information an afficianado would appreciate! The hosts Carey and Gary were very well versed on the topic and I was entertained while learning about a pastime I enjoy so much. I highly recommend this video for anyone's collection.
