"Cilibrinas Do Eden"(Philips, 1973) ---------------------------------------------- This is an amazing album -- a psychedelic-rock/Brazilian tropicalia reissue featuring Rita Lee of Os Mutantes along with her friend Linda Turnbull, with backing from the other members of Os Mutantes and various Brazilian rockers. This is a wild album, harder rocking and more consistently electrifying than any of the Mutantes albums, or any of Lee's early solo outings with the band Tutti Frutti. It's a pretty cool mix of hard rock (ala Alice Cooper) and acid-prog ala Mutantes. Reissued in 2008 in a limited run of 500 copies -- definitely worth snapping up if you're into Brazilian psych-rock.
