A Big Disappointment,
By
This review is from: Cinderella & Friends (Jewl) (Audio CD)
Having two little princesses of my own who love Cinderella, I purchased this CD hoping to use it as a backdrop for my 4-year-old's Cinderella birthday party.
I must say it was a big disappointment. Only the first 3 songs are actually from Cinderella. The "& Friends" turns out to be -- not music from other characters in the movie, as you might assume from seeing the CD's beautiful artwork -- but rather from other Disney shows. There's one we've heard from Little Mermaid, for example. It's already on many other Disney compliations; why on earth did it need to be repeated here? The others are little-known songs thrown in from shows we did not recognize. Which brings me to another disappointment -- the track listings don't list the shows where the songs originate or what character or artist is singing them. So even if you wound up liking one of the "unknown" songs, you don't know what movie to buy to enjoy it further. Had I been able to read track listings that clearly showed TWO-THIRDS OF THE MUSIC ON THIS CD IS NOT FROM CINDERELLA, I would not have purchased it.

WHAT A RIP OFF DISNEY!!!,
By Matt Charles "Matt Charles" (Linden, New Jersey United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cinderella & Friends (Jewl) (Audio CD)
The only thing good about this CD is the artwork on the Disc itself! There is no actual cover inside this disc! I will break this CD down for everyone!
First off... The CD starts off with "A Dream Is Your Wish Your Heart Makes" This version was on the Disney's Karaoke Series: Disney Princess Vol. 1. So why in the heck is Disney putting this on here when it is already on a CD? DOUBLE DIP? Next we have the Original Cinderelly (The Work Song) on the original soundtrack which is fine. Then comes the annoying version of Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo which is not the original movie version which I cannot STAND! Then the next songs are Dear Heart, I Think I'd Be Perfect For You which it sounds like an old guy sings and I have no clue where these songs came from. Then from the Princess Tea Party Album comes Every Girl Can Be A Princess which a new voice of Cinderella sings which is ok. Part Of Your World is next also from Disney's Karaoke Series: Disney Princess Vol. 1. Which I have no clue why Disney would even think about using Karaoke Series. Part Of The Heart Of The Sky some other guy sings this I think as well but it is really boring. FINALLY, If You Can Dream is the last song which Disney already has this song on a number of CDs. So here is the run down of the new boring CD. Stay away fromt his CD at all cost! ;)

I loved this CD. I got it by chance in Best Buy when I was scouting for Disney CDs. Here's my review.
The titles is "Cinderella AND FRIENDS" Whichs means Some Cinderella songs & some not. I suspect this is like a "music from & inspired by" CD. They do this alot with movies. The others probably didnt know that & that's why they got all crusty over it. The CD is only like $7 & some change with tax, so it wasnt like a massive set back. You can always return it. A dream is a wish your heart makes: Classic! I think it's great that it's first because it starts out the movie. The work song (Cinderelly): I love how the mice sound! Bibbid-bobbidi-boo: Not the movie version as the others stated but it's not totalyl unlikeable, so I only took off 1 star. Dear Heart: I think it's cute. It's probably a song by the Prince. I think I'd be perfect for you: Same as above, probably another Prince song. Every girl can be a Princess: This song IS on the tea party CD, but I first saw the video for it on the Cinderella DVD. I like it. It's a true Cinderella song because she says the best way to be a Princess is by being yourself. All the other stuff is just a bonus. Part of your world: Sung by Ariel from The Little Mermaid. One of the "friends". Part of the heart of the sky: I LOVE THIS!! It doesnt sound like cinderella to me (the voice on the Princess song was lighter & it's a bit deeper here, but it's still a gem). If you can dream: Probably my favorite song on the CD. If I had to guess, I'd say the Disney Princesses sing this together. Mostly because of the obvious references to other Disney movies. "it's a tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme" & "someday my prince will come". It's cute.! All in all, I give this CD 4 stars. It's highly likeable & addicting. I have no shame in saying I was 19 at the time I brought this because I'm a Disney maniac. If I can love it, I see no reason why a 5 year old cant. --->MiNA<3
