5.0 out of 5 stars Videoclips AND Home Videos, January 30, 2005

This review is from: Cinderella - Rocked, Wired & Bluesed - The Greatest Video Hits (DVD)
You are reading this for one reason only... you know Cinderall rocks!!
Released simultaneously with their newest greatest hits CD, Rocked, Wired & Bluesed: The Greatest Video Hits, a DVD collection of the 10 videos for all of its hits. The audio for each has been digitally remastered in 5.1 Surround. The DVD also boasts a "Making Of `Heartbreak Station'" featurette (originally available on the Heatbreak Station VHS which has been long Out of print) and excerpts from the 1988 homevideo Tales From The Gypsy Road (another VHS long out of print), along with new commentary by Tom Keifer & Eric Brittingham.
The videos are the 3 from Night Songs: Somebody Save Me (which includes an appearance by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Smabora), Nobody's Fool, Shake Me.
the 4 clips from Long Cold Winter: Don't Know What You Got, Gypsy Road, Coming Home, The Last Mile;
and the three from Heatbreak Station: Shelter Me, The More Things Change, and Heartbreak Station.
In total, 10 videosclips and the stuff from two home video releases will make the delight for any cinderella and late 80s hard rock fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cinderella Kicks In 5.1 Surround Sound!, February 1, 2005
By
lastofthewild1s (Blue Springs, MO. United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Cinderella - Rocked, Wired & Bluesed - The Greatest Video Hits (DVD)
I was elated when I found out this dvd was out. I am a huge Cinderella fan, and have wanted to see a video hits collection released on dvd.
On this dvd, you get all their videos, with the exception of the Hot And Bothered video which was originally submitted for the Wayne's World soundtrack, and it's video included footage from the movie. That's why it isn't on the dvd.
The only complaint I could have is that the three live tracks from their Night Songs The Videos release were not included. On that tape, they had footage of the band playing in Philadelphia and performing live versions of Night Songs, Push Push, and Once Around The Ride. Other than that 1 complaint, this dvd has it all.
It also includes the bands interviews and live footage from their Tales From The Gypsy Road video release, and their behind the scenes footage of the making of the Heartbreak Station video.
Last, but not least, you get commentary by Tom Keifer and Eric Brittingham on each video as you watch it in an alternate audio mode. All in all, I have to give this dvd a very high rating. I love this band, and have wanted this for a long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Collection, April 13, 2007
This review is from: Cinderella - Rocked, Wired & Bluesed - The Greatest Video Hits (DVD)
Cinderella: Rocked, Wired, and Bluesed has everything a Cinderella fan could hope for in a video anthology. I first discovered Cinderella through MTV in the 80's, so this is a great blast from the past.

The main program:
This DVD features 10 Cinderella videos, shown in chronological order. To the best of my knowledge, this is a complete collection of Cinderella videos. If the band made any videos for the Still Climbing album, I've yet to see one. The videos are full of the cheesiness and over the top antics you'd expect from 80's hair metal, but who says that's a bad thing? I grew up with this stuff, and am thrilled to be able to see them again. Some of these I hadn't even seen originally, like the "Shelter Me" clip with Little Richard! I love VH1 Classics, but even they aren't going to show all of these videos.

The bonus material:
The DVD features two short documentary features chronicling the video shoots for "Gypsy Road" and "Heartbreak Station". Both serve as a nice behind the scenes look at how Cinderella made videos, and it's cool just hearing the band member interviews. You also have the option of hearing a "director's commentary" by Tom Keifer and Eric Brittingham. I tried it out, but only made it through one video, as the guys really didn't have a lot to say and seemed a bit uncomfortable.

The verdict:
Buy it already! If you're a Cinderella fan, this is a must-own DVD. I just wish every 80's metal band would release a similar video anthology.

I knew this was coming out, & was absolutely thrilled when I got my hands on it! I sure wish they could put something new out, but they are in a dispute w/their record co., so they can't!!!. This will do - FOR SURE!!! Buy it, you won't be disappointed.................

5.0 out of 5 stars CINDERELLA ROCKS!, February 23, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cinderella - Rocked, Wired & Bluesed - The Greatest Video Hits (DVD)
I once wondered if Tom Keifer could really sing the way he sounds in the studio, live in concert. The extra footage was worth the purchase price alone just to see Tom and the guys in concert. He sounds like a singer in his prime.

The videos are a nice touch of nostalgia, even though I did not truly become a Cinderella fan until about six years ago. A shame they didn't make--not that I know of, at least--any videos from Still Climbing.

If you're a Cinderella fan, this one is a must-have for your collection.
