This review is from: Cinderella Story: The Origins and Variations of the Story Known as Cinderella (Penguin folklore library) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a good critical look at the most popular type of Cinderella story. I would have liked a slightly broader view into some of the lesser known variants (like Peau d'Ane or Love Like Salt) but if you're interested in the history that leads up to the most well known versions of Cinderella, this is great. The text is interesting and fun to read as well as being informative. If you want to know more about the categories of Cinderella, consider looking into 345 Variants of Cinderella by Cox.
