5.0 out of 5 stars sad-sad-sad, but good-good-good!!!!
This book was awsome! It's so touching! Here, "'Cindy...Say good-bye to him...You have to' Tears streaked down Ashleigh's face, but her voice was sure and soothing...Ashleigh knows how I'm feeling, Cindy thought. She knows what it's like to lose your horse. I have to do this. But a knife twisted in her heart as she turned to the beautiful colt...Storm stepped closer...

3.0 out of 5 stars I was okay
This book was okay. And I know how Cindy feels about Storm when he dies, because my own brother died in a car accident in May. But in book 17 or 18, she's in love with Four Leaf Clover and Rainbow, but when the sell on of them, Ciny is so sad, even when they buy Storm. But in the next book, there is nothing about Clover, or Rainbow Say what?

This review is from: Cindy's Heartbreak (Thoroughbred Series #19) (Mass Market Paperback)
But a knife twisted in her heart as she turned to the beautiful colt...Storm stepped closer and put his head trustingly in Cindy's arms. Cindy hugged him hard one last time, holding his soft neck against her wet face...Cindy heard Storm's last, soft whicker as she left the stall." READ THIS BOOK!!! I cry every single time, and I've read it about 9 times.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, July 2, 2002

This review is from: Cindy's Heartbreak (Thoroughbred Series #19) (Mass Market Paperback)
This story tell's you about a grey colt named Storm's Ransom, or simply Storm. Cindy McLean has been working with the racehorse ever since he came to Whitebrooke. Storm soon becomes a champion sprinter and is winning races all over the place. After one win, Strom comes home sick. When the vet tells Ashleigh and Mike to put Storm down, will Cindy make the choice to ever have another bond with a horse or will the death of Storm over whelm her?

This is a beautifully written book and is Bentley's best. The story tugs at you heart strings and brought tears to my eyes. It really has a strong plot and is very discriptive. Though Storm was just tossed into the books, you kind of forget that as you read along. It's like Wonder is tossed out the window and Storm is the main horse character. It has the right to be widely read. Five stars

5.0 out of 5 stars Cindys Heartbreak, July 17, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Cindy's Heartbreak (Thoroughbred Series #19) (Mass Market Paperback)
In Cindys Heartbreak a colt named Storms Rancsom falls under a deadly disease wich can kill all the horses in the barn. Storm was bought by Whitebrook at an auction for thoroughbreds. whitebrook was a large breeding and racing stable in Kentucky. Storm was one of the finest horses you can find. While March to Glory is having a time of his life on the racetrack, Cindy Mclean helps raise Storm. Cindy was once a runaway orphan who found a home at Whitebrook. Cindy loves racehorses and racing more than anything. While her colt Glory is having a finishing racing career Cindy has helped raise Storm since he came to Whitebrook. If you asked him to jump off a bridge, he would just to make you happy. Cindy knew Storm would do anything for his rider and was the sweetiest thing ever. He showed promise as a sprinter and sprinted his way to victory. but after 2 long exzausting races, Storm became sick. When the vet responds, he tells the owners of Storm and Whitebrook that Storm has a deadly disease that can kill all the other horses and the best thing to do would be to put him down. Cindy almost died when she heard that they might put Storm down. Cindy beggs Ashleigh Griffen and Mike Reese, Whitebrooks owner to keep Storm in the icealation stalls. But Cindy knows that Storm would be stuck inside his stall for the rest of his life and not enjoying life of the outdoors and horse friends. Will Cindy give up the colt she watched grow into a champion sprinter or let him suffer? Find out in Cindys Heartbeak. Or email me at Blades60@aol.com

4.0 out of 5 stars This was probably the only book I cried to., May 21, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Cindy's Heartbreak (Thoroughbred Series #19) (Mass Market Paperback)
I loved Storm. He always tried his hardest to please Cindy and Ashleigh. He was always on his best behavior and would do anything for you. He ran his heart out in his races and when he losed he was heart broken. He was the sweetiest horse I ever heard of in the Thoroughbred series, and he was one of my top favoirtes. When I read this book I cried for a week or more and I am right now just talking about him. I have a parakeet named Storm and he is the sweetiest bird I know. I could compare him to Storm. He is always sweet and tries to please me. He hardly ever bites or anything. I also have a parakeet named Glory. I could also compare him to Glory. He is big, same color as Glory, sweet and hard to control, and kinda fast but faster than my others. Now Storm is just a dust in the wind in the books now. I still think of him and miss him terriobly and what would I do when my all time fav mare dies, (Ashleigh's Wonder.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Sad!, April 26, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Cindy's Heartbreak (Thoroughbred Series #19) (Mass Market Paperback)
I thought that this book was very well writtin, even if it was wrote by Karen Bently, and that it was very very sad. I cried the first time I read it.Storm was such a cool horse and would have made a super racer in the future.I reccommend this book to all readers, but I think that anyone interested in the series should start with the first book cause there just better that way. I started somewhere in the middle and just a while ago I started at the begining and I'm working my way up. Maybe I be closer to Number 41 later this year.Over all this was a great book.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is one of the best books in the series!!!, November 4, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Cindy's Heartbreak (Thoroughbred Series #19) (Mass Market Paperback)
I think that this book deserves more credit than people are giving it. I cried for almost an hour afterward!!!! It's a real tearjerker.I have collected the whole series, from 1 to 31 and all of the super editions. They take up two whole shelves in my bookshelf, and I stare at them every time I go in my room. I still think that this is one of the saddest, though. And for all you critics out there, THINGS CAN'T STAY THE SAME FOR EVER !!!!! I mean, to some people, Cindy's a spoiled little brat! But, she really cares about horses, and not how much they can perform or race. Christina is like, "Oh no, my friend Dylan isn't paying attention to his horse anymore, whatever shall I do??" Now, SHE'S a brat!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good! And Very Sad!!, April 25, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Cindy's Heartbreak (Thoroughbred Series #19) (Mass Market Paperback)
I think this is a great one! I can't belive its so sad. Poor Storm. For that person who wrote about Champions Spirit, and said she should forget about Storm and continue on, I say you're to insenstive. If that happened to you, would you go "Oh well, who cares? He was just a Horse"? This is a great book, and for those of you who haven't read it, you definately should!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Touching Story, December 29, 2000
This review is from: Cindy's Heartbreak (Thoroughbred Series #19) (Mass Market Paperback)
I thoght this book was very good yet sad. I never liked reading until I read this book. So far I have read many Thoroughbred books. A book for any young horse lover. Even though it's sad I still thought it was a touching book. A girl who might lose her favorite horse, Storm, will do about any thing to save him. Read this book to find out what happens to Cindy and Storm. Will Storm be okay or not. You find out.
