Of course it's great! It is the Cat Empire - a melting pot of influences played by REAL musicians! Pick this up immediately!

This is the first CD I have bought by the Cat Empire, having listened to samples on Amazon before deciding on the purchase and I am really happy with it. With the exception of one track, I think all the tracks are brilliant, really catchy, upbeat tunes.

I'm a new Cat Empire fan, having only heard "Sly" previously a couple of years ago - thought it was unique and fun but didn't really make me want to hear more. I happened to hear "On My Way" on the local college station a few weeks ago and was totally blown away - had to get the album and was so glad I did - I discovered a jewel. There's not a boring or banal song on this entire album - and I can't stop playing it. Amazing insightful lyrics - life lessons and spirituality - reach out and grab you and don't let go. It's made me a huge fan and am busy discovering their earlier stuff. Can't wait til they tour the US again - I'm there.

Cat Empire continues to grow,

I am a HUGE Cat Empire fan. Seen several shows in person and would see a hundred more! I didn't find this album to be their most layered or technical music ever, in fact not even in the top half of their discography. However, I really appreciate the stripped down simplicity and clarity of sound in this album as well as the attempt to balance their usual upbeat, happy-go-lucky tone with some more sobering tunes and lyrics. This album doesn't make a deposit in the groups bank of music, but rather expands their portfolio. Give it a listen and see if you agree.

I'm a relatively new fan, but I've been listening to all their stuff, and seeing their live shows. They rock. This new album rocks!

I have been listening to The Cat Empire for about three years, and as a somewhat experienced (albeit stuck in the US and unable to see them live)listener I have to say that this CD does not disappoint. If you are already a fan, the CD has a little bit less of a Latin feel, but don't let that fool you. The gang put out a musical experience to easily match all other albums. I personally consider this to be my second favorite right under their first self-titled album. You'll be treated to the usual outstanding keys, horns, beats, mixes, and voices over the course of the album.
If you have never heard of The Cat Empire before, I strongly recommend checking them out. The music they put out has an incredibly likable atmosphere whether you're riding around, having dinner with a significant other, throwing a party, etc. Their music is very rhythmic and danceable as well if you are into that kinda thing. I'll try not to get too long-winded, so do yourself a favor and pick this album up! You'll be glad you did!

This album is it. I keep searching Amazon new releases for something that is really, seriously new. Something polished, yet still raw with emotion. And this is it. Thanks.

This new release is disappointing. Does not come close to their previous releases. The Cat Empire needs to get back home to their musical roots. I will not purchase this one. Where has the positive energy and fun gone?
