An essential text in your egregious library,
By Hiram Gomez Pardo (Valencia, Venezuela) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Cinema, or The Imaginary Man (Paperback)
There are books that have the power to grab at you like an invisible hand, that surround you through illustrious and eloquent exposition of ideas, daring thoughts, equipped with an ambitious scope for anyone who wants to see the otherness of the film through its antipode genuine, photography. Edgar Morin concluded this book in 1956 but its reach still affects us. Despite fifty-five years passed, the relevant contents remain untouched. In the vast majority of classrooms for all students who aspire to obtain a Bachelor of Visual Arts, Film Direction or any other discipline of human thought, this book is a must see and ongoing discussion about its contents in all Universities in the world. Sheer, concrete, equipped with an arsenal of deep and profound reflections covering a vast catalog of humanities disciplines. Without exaggeration, I'd venture to say that this is a cult book, brimming with talent, sublime genius and erudition. Get it soon. Its presence is essential in any library. |
