It is remarkable how Peter Watkins's films stand the test of time. These films remain fresh, interesting and relevant today. Their scripts are extraordinarily well written.

Since watching the films in this set I have found it difficult to watch many other films as I am now seeing actors acting! Watkins' films are thoughtful and engrossing. It is a rare experience nowadays to see a film quietly go about it's business without relying on an excessive number of fast cuts and busyness for the sake of busyness. These films are such a pleasure for me to watch.Important stories beautifully told. The five disc box set contains a very good over view of his work.The Cinema of Peter Watkins 5-DISC BOX SET
