About the Author

Boris Debackere is a Belgian media artist whose main interests is the integration of different expression forms, with an emphasis on electronic sound and image. His work and research focuses on translating and transforming the cinema concept into other forms like live cinema and audiovisual installations. Arie Altena is a Dutch media theorist, who writes about art and media for various magazines. He co-curated the Sonic Acts festivals X, XI and XII and is co-editor of the publications Unsorted, an A to Z for Sonic Acts (2004), The Anthology of Computer Art (2006) and The Cinematic Experience (2008).
