How to build a human medicine doctor,

This review is from: Cinemeducation: A Comprehensive Guide to Using Film in Medical Education (Paperback)
I am a pediatric professor from a Federal University in Brazil, and I have a concern about the relationship among medical doctors and the people. Never the Medicine saved more and gave longer good life for the population, but never medicine doctor had a worse image for people like now. The greatest problem is the distance and the impersonality.
New strategies to change this scenario are always very welcome. And Cinemeducation is an excellent book to give to medical professor ideas and skills to use this method. In a very friendly language and sequence, they explain how to use, how to analyze, what films may be used. And, very important: the students loved the suggestions!!! Best regards, Isabela Giuliano |
