If everything in the world lines up perfectly, these slick wheels help shots look cool. But nothing is perfect, and these wheels can't handle any of it. Any little bump, spec of dust, etc - shows clearly in video. If all your shots are on a pool table or studio floor, it's ok.

But worse yet, my 7D with any lens just "sinks" into the gorilla pod, sagging as the shot moves. Might as well put your camera on a skateboard with a small tripod. That has no sag, you'd get the same effect and spend a fraction of what these suckers cost. And at $200 for 3 wheels, these are SERIOUSLY overpriced for what you get. Go into any skate shop and get very similar wheels for less than $40. Mount them in any way you like. These have a cool mounting system, but frankly it's useless for the effect for a rolling shot.

Lastly, adjusting the angle of the wheels is a pain in the ass. Each shot took so long to setup and try over and over that I lost patience well before I was done tweaking it. That's real annoying when catching something timely.

I promptly returned these after testing in multiple places. Less shipping costs. So I paid to get disappointed by an inferior, overhyped product. No thanks Cineskates.

I was so excited to order these after seeing their video. Alas these are an EPIC FAIL! They state the weight capacity is 5 pounds. I put a camera on it that weighs 4.4 pounds and watched the legs slowly sag to the ground. I looked at other reviews online and found the same complaint. One of the posters suggested that the legs were not tightened enough. Good! Problem solved. NOT! I twisted the legs as hard as I dared and then mounted the camera. It supported the camera but even the slightest pressure or movement and the sag was back. The wheels have no indents or markings so aligning them is purely guess work. There is no way I would trust putting $4,000 worth of camera and lens on these. I asked them to refund my money, but that was not an option they gave under their "return policy". Unless all you are mounting is an iPhone skip this over-hyped toy. If they would make a steerable wheel set with angle marks or click stops for standard tripods then these would be a success. As is, they are worthless for DSLR video.

After researching several camera dolly and slider options, I ordered CineSkates and I'm quite happy with the choice. The wheels roll perfectly fluid and they are easy to adjust, but the little details are what won me over. For example, their are marks on the wheels that enable you to make exact moves. This is AWESOME for stop motion photography. I could go on... but, in short, they do everything I hoped and much more.

I've been meaning to get me camera out for years... and cineskates gave me a reason to do it! What a fun way to make creative videos. The wheel attach to the feet of the tripod then you can manipulate the legs and adjust the wheels to make the move you want. I've been having a great time filming my daughter and sharing videos with my family. The product is built wonderfully and it is so very clever. I love it.
