Editorial Reviews

"A unique approach to magic along with memorable characters makes this series opener a good choice for most fantasy collections." - Library Journal

" extraordinary tale of sorcery and power, terrible prejudice, war and loss, set in a world apart from yet not so very different from our own. Cullum takes a hard look at the results and the high price of ignorance, bigotry, and ethnocentrism in a thoughtful novel with an unusual piece of magic at the center of its story....Great fantasy with a conscience." Paula Luedtke - Booklist

"I have long hoped for the sequel to continue the story of Jerevan, in particular: the whale-sized wizard who must master magic to overcome a curse of gluttony."
- Lynda Williams, author Okal Rel Universe Saga

Format: Paperback
In J. A. Cullum’s first book Lyskarion you see one side of the world Cullum has wove, in this book you have a different view. This world is just as fascinating as the first book with a heroine that few people have the imagination to conceive. The magic is just as unique. The ship battles are well thought out and done with edge-of-chair drama. If you like politics and swashbuckling adventure you should enjoy this book. If you read Lyskarion first it will fully round out the world and give you the feeling of being there.
