Flavor Name: Awake Verified Purchase
I have been drinking this tea for months now along with the Tazo Zen green tea. I love both flavors and have found that they make a wonderful iced tea (the only way I like to drink tea). I have found that if you cold brew this tea and the Zen green tea, they do have the flavor undertones that the box states. It almost seems to have a "solidness" to the flavor that seems to fit the breakfast concept well. I definitely recommend it if you like a nice smooth flavor to your black tea. I use the Starbucks Classic syrup in this tea and the flavor is perfect together (you can buy classic syrup in a bottle from almost any Starbucks location).

Just as a side for those who are interested. Cold brewing just means that you place the tea bags in the fridge in water and let it set, usually at least 3 hours. It's that simple! It maintains the full subtle flavor of the tea much better and is almost impossible to turn bitter or mess it up unless you use too many tea bags. This only works if you plan to have iced tea of course. I use 4 "Awake" tea bags in 2 quarts of water and let it set overnight. I don't remove the tea bags until I have drank all the tea. It's delicious and super easy. I would recommend trying it to anyone who likes iced tea!

Flavor Name: Chai
This one is the Best of all the chai teas I've tried, and I've tried bunches!

Numi - almost as good, but very pricey
Twinnings - all you taste is black tea, no chai spices
Stash - too cinnamony
Good Earth - great chai spice taste, but not enough black tea taste!
Yogi - see Good Earth
Celestial Seasonings - see Stash

I've even tried the Marsala Chai at Cost Plus, which was pretty good, but can't compare to Tazo!

Tazo has the perfect blend of black tea and chai spices and is reasonably priced. I alternate this one with Stash Holiday Chai (my 2nd favorite).

If you don't want to buy this much tea just to try, then go to Target. They have individual boxes of this tea for under 4 bucks.

Flavor Name: China Green Tips
*****
Tazo's China Green Tips Green Tea is a slightly stronger green tea than Tazo's Zen, and I liked that it doesn't contain Tazo's omnipresent "natural flavors" that almost all of their other teas contain, which to me is not an advantage. I like a natural, real taste with real ingredients sans vague "natural flavors" and sans flavorings, sans essences, etc. China Green Tips delivers this in a cleaner, purer way than Tazo's other teas. I liked this green tea!

The ingredients in China Green Tips are simply spring-harvested green teas from China. It contains caffeine.

Tazo is an interesting company that makes only super premium teas. They are socially responsible, based in Portland, and have the motto, "The Reincarnation of Tea". Tazo is owned by Starbucks. Their web site is fun and quirky, with a Zen-type focus, definitely worth checking out. It is unclear, though, from their web site, how many of their ingredients are organic or kosher, and they do use some "natural flavors" in their teas--this wording seems a little vague and unnecessary for a super premium tea. China Green Tips has none of these "natural flavors" and it shows in the quality and cleanliness of the tea experience.

On the paper tea packet, Tazo writes, "a traditional Chinese green tea with a delicate fresh taste and a light green liquor." This is the perfect way to describe this tea! On their web site, Tazo describes the flavor profile of China Green Tips as "grassy, vegetative, sweet, ricey". Tazo describes the aroma as "vegetative, popcorn".

I would rate this tea, and Tazo in general, as very good---better than premium teas like Stash or Celestial Seasonings---but not as good as Numi or Aspen.

Flavor Name: Lotus Green Verified Purchase
I first started drinking Tazo Lotus tea when it was available at Starbucks. A while back, it started disappearing from Starbucks and then from all of my local grocery stores. I was so happy when I found it on Amazon, and for a decent price. The six-pack can be a little overwhelming, but if you love this tea, it probably won't be a problem. This is the second six-pack I've purchased from Amazon.

The tea itself is surprisingly delicious. If you brew it correctly (no oversteeping), it has very little of the bitterness that sometimes turns me off to green tea. The aroma is one of the best I've ever smelled in a tea, like delicate flowers mixed with melon. The flavor is also delicate (light green tea and melon) and great with a little bit of honey or sugar. It even stands up to a touch of milk and can serve as a light dessert tea due to the melon characteristics. The fact that it's decaf makes it a good replacement for herbal tea for me. I have a friend who can't tolerate caffeine but loved green tea back when she could drink it, so I share this decaf with her. We both love it, and we hope it never gets discontinued!

Flavor Name: Sweet Orange
(***Of the available flavors you can order from this listing, the one I purchased was Wild Sweet Orange, which is the flavor my review pertains specifically to)

I really like Wild Sweet Orange. It is one of my Go-To teas, and one I sometimes mix with a white tea I make. While usually I prefer bulk loose tea due to a lower price and higher quality for less money, this is a good herbal tea and one of the best I have had. It also works well both when served hot and cold.

I expected this to be a weak tea but was surprised (and happy) to find it has a very distinct flavor unlike any other tea I have had. I would describe this as a flavored tea of medium intensity, with a bolder flavor than many other herbal teas I have had, and one of the strongest orange and lemongrass flavors I have ever had in a tea. You can really taste the lemongrass & orange, with a mild undertone of licorice. How licorice goes together with citrus and lemongrass I do not know, and before having this tea would have told you that it sounded like a terrible combination, but somehow it works really well and the flavors compliment each other to deliver a very intriguing taste. At the same time, it's "intriguing" in a positive sense in that it's not too whacky of a flavor and most people I have shared this with wind up really liking it.

The box these are shipped in is very nice...it's a thick box that makes sure these arrive undamaged (and while a very minor detail, it avoids shipping damage that could otherwise ruin half the tea you just paid good money for.) The individual boxes are also well-designed, and it makes things more convenient. The cutout at the bottom to allow the tea bags to individually feed out is nice for the office or staying organized in the kitchen.
