I have set up this device with two 2TByte USB drives and it works like a charm. I have ripped dvd's to the drive and can play them from multiple locations at the same time. I can access my photo's on my iPad via a network share app, and I can backup my Mac using time machine.

This device enables you to have a networked attached storage system at a very low price. I use a 100Mbit network and can stream ripped dvd's to multiple locations at the same time.

The only criticism I have is that you cannot format your high capacity drive using the built in FAT32 formatter, it only creates a 25Gbyte partition and leaves the rest of the drive inaccessible. But if you connect the drive to your PC first, and then use the command prompt on Windows 7 to force the drive into FAT32, you can enjoy up to 2TByte in FAT32.

Why use FAT32? If you have a MAC, you cannot write to NTFS volumes, that is not a shortcoming of this device, but rather a MAC design choice. If you only use PC's with this device, format your drives using NTFS.

Great device, great performance, and easy, easy setup.

I have been using this network storage unit for about 6 months in my office and have not had any issues with it whatsoever. I bought it after my Linksys NAS device failed.

I have a 64GB USB3 stick and a 2TB hard drive hooked up to this device. It works brilliantly with both.

I'm not sure why some other reviewers had difficulty getting this unit set up, it was a breeze and only took a couple minutes to set up each user and map the network drives on each computer.

The software uses a web based interface for admin functions that you open in a web browser from one of the connected network computers. I found it easy to navigate and set up. The instructions were clear and easy to follow.

For the price, this network storage device is very difficult (or maybe impossible) to beat. The number of drives you can attach to it, the support for NTFS and FAT file systems, and the included web based software is something not found on other devices in this price range.

Durability also seems great, the device has a metal housing and feels very solid. I'm hoping it will last for many years.

I bought the Cirago NUS2000 because I needed some Network attached storage. I have six computers at home and need to share files often. I used to save them on a zip drive and then take them to another machine and load them. Now all I have to do is save it on the Cirago NUS2000 and then go to the other machine(s) and load it from there. Very cool and easy.

The NUS2000 lets you hook up 4 drives to your network. Up to 2TB on each USB port for a total of 8TB of storage. I just plugged in a 1TB drive and a 8GB zip drive. They showed up on all machines. My drives are formated as NTFS and I have no problems. I have uploaded to the 8GB all of my music files and all of the machines can access them. I have created a mini cloud storage system. I plan to put video files and documents on these drives.

Setup of the product is very easy. Just follow their User's manual and it is easy. You can setup users to access the files and grant access to specific directories. Don't want anyone to see your files, grant access to yourself. The admin logon lets you setup all the functions. There is a YouTube server, Multimedia server and a print server. I still have more functions to discover on this product as I have just gone throgh half of the manual.

I don't have a Smart phone that can use this but the function is there to access your files, even remotely. You must register with Cirago first for the remote access.

There are no extra fees to use this product. It is all run from your network. A very good product. As well as other Cirago products. I think of something I can use and they have it. Check them out. [...]

Pros: Accessible ANYWHERE for free. Depending on ISP speed, content can be streamed to any player that can access it. Small size lets it fit anywhere. Cool blue color. Somewhat easy setup. Can hold up to 8TB (on four separate 2TB drives). Gigabit ethernet. Streams content to remote XBMC machine/s. Accessible via ipod/android device.

Cons: Won't take long/complicated passwords ( >10 characters). Gets warm and stays warm. Doesn't seem to ever shut down my external drive connected to it (no sleep mode). Little control over user accounts. Only allowed to grant access or not grant access, no read/write only option per user. Sporadic connection issues when the network is shutdown periodically (nightly).

So, it took me easily 3+ hours to set this up due to the fact that the device will not accept long passwords, yet it won't tell you this. So I set up the passwords for a couple accounts and they didn't work due to the password being too long. It took a very long time for me to finally say F-it and use a very simple username and password combo (at this point I was almost ready to return the damned thing). That was VERY annoying and a huge time-waster. I wish the documentation had said something about this.

The device gets pretty warm, as in if you touch it, you definitely know it's on. It won't burn you, but I wouldn't put it anywhere that doesn't have adequate ventilation. The device will not turn off external HDD's attached to it via USB. Even if there's no activity.

The user accounts that can be setup for access control are almost useless. It only allows one path per user.
