5.0 out of 5 stars Authoritative and Compelling
This is a comprehensive handbook that attempts to capture the ineffable -- the fascinating character and nature of horses. Idiosyncratic yet practical, the book provides a whole host of insights into the horse and many practical techniques that will aid anyone engaged in horse handling. I suppose the best thing that I can share about this book is that it isn't just a book...

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy it
The subject and issues mentioned in this book are not substantial enough to make it into a book. This type of info should be published on magazines.Too trivial. as in commom sense. The author has other good articles on the magazines so I bought the book--should not have.

Walter Zettl is a treasure among equestrians and every book, every video, every dvd is a prized thing. Of all the horsemen I have worked with in a lifetime of horses, this man is the very best ever, bar none.
