Armstrong also starred on "Dynasty" as Elena, Duchess of Brahna.

Upon her return to Australia in 1987, she starred in many television shows, including "Police Rescue," "Ocean Girl," "All Together Now" and "Halfway Across the Galaxy and Turn Left." She was offered a role in the cast of "SeaChange," a role for which she later won the Best Actress in a Television Series at the AFI Awards.

Her starring roles in films such as Lantana alongside Geoffrey Rush and Anthony LaPaglia, as well as her many television credits, have seen her nominated for both national and international awards. Armstrong went on to win many of Australia's most prestigious film and television awards, including her 2001 win for Best Actress in a Feature Film for Lantana at the AFI Awards and the IF Awards.

Armstrong is an ambassador for Child Wise Australia and a founding member of Big H'Art, a highly acclaimed not-for-profit theater company known for its work in raising community awareness and empowering marginalized people throughout Australia. Armstrong is the mother to three sons and one daughter, and keeps a clause in her contract that she is away from them for filming no longer than one week. Her devotion, spirit, and talent combine to make her into a formidable force on stage, screen, and in person.

5.0 out of 5 stars GY in studio city, May 12, 2008
This review is from: The Circles (Hardcover)
The Circles presents such a lovely way to look at relationships. I enjoyed turning every page and quietly contemplating the many people who have come in and out of my life. It helped me fondly remember some and it let me gently let go of others. Everyone should have a copy of this book next to their bed or readily available to share with a friend.

5.0 out of 5 stars A gem of a book!!!, May 25, 2008
By
This review is from: The Circles (Kindle Edition)
This is a remarkable book, with every page beautifully done.

The book's methodology for self-understanding is non-threatening and user friendly - but amazingly insightful. Clearly, Kerry Armstrong is an perceptive author as well as a successful actress. And the publisher has done a elegant job on the binding and illustrations throughout - the way books used to be made! This is a book that is a joy to hold and peruse - and at a very reasonable price.

I have given The Circles to a number of friends, and I plan to keep some copies in my "just in case" gift drawer, since it is appropriate for anyone and everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Help, May 9, 2008
This review is from: The Circles (Hardcover)
I don't normally enjoy "self-help" books or find them particularly useful. But "The Circles" is wonderfully straight-forward, illuminating and gorgeous to look at, too. Its warm, familiar tone invites one in, and I found great value in the processes presented in this book.
