ReliaBulb's line of CircleLED light bulbs are direct replacements for fluorescent circlines. Simply remove the old circline and plug in a CircleLED. CircleLED uses LED technology to achieve energy savings, extreme long life, and beautiful, no flicker light. CircleLEDs are better for the environment than fluorescents because they don't contain mercury.

CircleLEDs are instant on and have no flicker. They are more broad spectrum than fluorescents and are easier on the eyes. They are designed to last for more than 6 years of 24 hr continuous use, which is five times longer than regular circlines. Even at the end of their life, they won't flash annoyingly like regular circlines. They emit a beautiful light that brings out brighter colors. They are actually brighter than fluorescent circlines since all of the light is coming out the front.

CircleLEDs are also occupancy sensor compatible. Fluorescents are not recommended for occupancy sensors because their filaments burn out very fast with repeated on off cycles. Now with CircleLED, you don't have to worry about early bulb death. Go ahead and add an occupancy sensor and multiply the energy savings.

This 8 inch model comes in cool white color which is like typical fluorescents, but with better color quality. Warm white is also available.

Replaces FC8T9 circline bulbs.

I was a little concerned by the unusual construction and was worried that the light might look strange (i.e. wrong color or too dim). My wife couldn't tell the difference between the ReliaBulb product and the original mercury-filled glass one that I used to get from the hardware store. I'm definetly a fan!

I installed this in a magnifier lamp for better light output on one of our electronics work benches. There is much better light but there is also much more glare on the circuit boards. Over all a plus (with careful board handling) but I was hoping to update all our work lamps but due to the high glare this is not going to work. I tied to defuse it and it helped but the light output was then unusable. It only uses a few very bright LED and this makes the problem worse. As much as I want LED lamps to work they are still often disappointing in one way or another.
