5.0 out of 5 stars An unique insight into chakra work for western magicians
The Circuit of Force illustrates the chakra work of Dion Fortune, one of the foremost western occultists known to modern practioners, and her interpretation of the eastern chakra system for western practioners. The eastern chakras are aligned to the Qabalistic Tree of Life and its Middle Pillar. A unique insight posits the Kundalini chakra as being beneath the feet...

The back cover says, "Dion Fortune describes techniques for raising the personal magnetic forces within the human aura ..." This is not a workbook by any stretch of the imagination. This review is from: The Circuit Of Force (Paperback)
A unique insight posits the Kundalini chakra as being beneath the feet in the Malkuth center of the Tree of Life and not at the base of the spine. Here the Kundalini power originates and rises to the Moon center of Yesod on the Tree of Life to be stored. Truly, is this a book to be pondered and meditated upon.

The back cover says, "Dion Fortune describes techniques for raising the personal magnetic forces within the human aura ..." This is not a workbook by any stretch of the imagination. It is, rather a series of articles published in The Inner Light Magazine in 1939-40. I'm not one to truly appreciate magazine articles made into a book. Gareth Knight compiles the articles, giving each one a title, to give the compilation a book-like appeal. He intersperses his own "Commentaries." I appreciated his first commentary elucidating the cults of the ancient Greeks -- Dyonisian, Orphic, Eleusinian, etc., which was motivated by Dion Fortune's opening the article series with the advice "Examine what is known concerning the origin of the Greek Mysteries."

This review is from: The Circuit Of Force (Paperback)
Gareth Knight has done the world a great favor by getting this book out. If you have ever wondered "How does magic work?" this book will show you. A complete novice, looking for some hand holding will possibly be put off a bit, but the serious practitioner or anyone who simply wants to know "how it all works" will do no better than to absorb this books content. This is the stuff once only taught by word of mouth inside the Lodges halls and bound by various oaths of secrecy etc. But I feel it is more than time for this material to see the light of day and their can be no better combination of teachers than Dion Fortune and Gareth Knight to bring it to the Light.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, June 26, 2011
This review is from: The Circuit Of Force (Paperback)
An excellent book that takes Dion Fortunes writings and couples them with wonderfully insightful commentaries by Gareth Knight. Together they present present great information on such topics as the etheric body and the astral light. In particular Knight's commentary on the astral light is outstanding and worth the price of the book alone. Highly recommended.
