For sale is 14 prs of 24" bamboo knitting needles with various sizes: US 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10,10.5, 11, 13 and 15. The overall length is from needle point to point; the length of needle is 5 3/8" each; the flexible plastic tubing is 13 1/4". These needles are exclusively distributed by "Oriental Touch LLC" at Amazon under the brand name of "Stanwood". They are the best we have ever made. They are first sanded super smooth using the finest sanding paper. Then they are lightly hand rubbed with a thin layer of wax to improve the smoothness. While feeling super smooth, one can still sense the texture of bamboo. That makes them very different than lacquered needles. Needle points are uniformly shaped as shown in the picture. I bought 14" straight bamboo needles and 9" bamboo DPNs from this company and was fairly pleased with the product. After reading reviews of these circular needles, I decided to give them a try.

Another bargain? Not so much.

While the finish on the wood portion is okay, the join between the needles and the cable is unacceptable. The cables are tiny hollow tubes and the needles are jammed into them, leaving a lip that is high enough to catch the stitches as the knitter attempts to slide them past.

I inspected several sets of these circulars and found the same problem with all of them. I'm shipping them all back. I'd go nuts trying to use these.

I still don't believe this deal! Most sets of circulars start at US size 4, these start with number one, ideal for those of us allergic to double pointed needles LOL. And if you buy 2 sets you can use Cat Borhdi's technique to knit socks on circulars! They have the most marvelously flexible cable!! It never kinks up! And it is fairly proportioned to the needle... the US size one cable is the same size as the needle, so you keep a more consistent tension easier! The needles themselves are clearly sized and silky smooth. I wish I had seen these years ago, they are so absolutely wonderful and economical...more money to spend on yarn!

These round needles are a joy to use. The feel so good in your hand! I used to have metal ones and those still work with some yarns, but these are really good. They aren't as slippery as metal. They help hold stitches on and being round needles, kind of take the weight off of your hands when you're working with something that gets long. Since they are made of a natural material, the longer you hold them the warmer they get. I have CTS in both my hands and holding something cold, like metal needles, can make my hands start to feel stiff. But these actually take on the warmth of your hands and hold on to it. Very good product!
