I bought 14" straight bamboo needles and 9" bamboo DPNs from this company and was fairly pleased with the product. After reading reviews of these circular needles, I decided to give them a try.

Another bargain? Not so much.

While the finish on the wood portion is okay, the join between the needles and the cable is unacceptable. The cables are tiny hollow tubes and the needles are jammed into them, leaving a lip that is high enough to catch the stitches as the knitter attempts to slide them past.

I inspected several sets of these circulars and found the same problem with all of them. I'm shipping them all back. I'd go nuts trying to use these.

I still don't believe this deal! Most sets of circulars start at US size 4, these start with number one, ideal for those of us allergic to double pointed needles LOL. And if you buy 2 sets you can use Cat Borhdi's technique to knit socks on circulars! They have the most marvelously flexible cable!! It never kinks up! And it is fairly proportioned to the needle... the US size one cable is the same size as the needle, so you keep a more consistent tension easier! The needles themselves are clearly sized and silky smooth. I wish I had seen these years ago, they are so absolutely wonderful and economical...more money to spend on yarn!

These round needles are a joy to use. The feel so good in your hand! I used to have metal ones and those still work with some yarns, but these are really good. They aren't as slippery as metal. They help hold stitches on and being round needles, kind of take the weight off of your hands when you're working with something that gets long. Since they are made of a natural material, the longer you hold them the warmer they get. I have CTS in both my hands and holding something cold, like metal needles, can make my hands start to feel stiff. But these actually take on the warmth of your hands and hold on to it. Very good product!

Oh how I wished I had known about these and the other bamboo knitting needle sets before I spent a small fortune at craft stores purchasing other bamboo needles individually! These circular needles are fine quality. The connection between the bamboo and the plastic cable is oh so smooth! Not like the interchangable sets where the work gets hung up at the join between the needle and cable. The needls come bundle wrapped but each is in its own reclosable pack. The only thing that is lacking is the there is no size indicator on the outside of the needle's individual pack (one can easily write the size on the envelope). All the needles are stamped with its size but the smaller needles are more difficult to read. This set includes a great range of sizes and if you expect to use more than one needle out of the set then you will easily break even as opposed to buying them individually.

I am a resurgent knitter, having learned 20 years ago and recently picked it back up. I am delighted with this purchase. The craftsmanship is very good on these needles, the bamboo is smooth, and I have been happy with how they feel in the hand. The cord is also the right kind of flexible, not too floppy. I got the 17" and 24" sets and also the 7" DP set. They are even better after they've been used, because the natural oils from your skin tent to make the wood even smoother, which helps the yarn glide a little better. Overall, very very pleased with such high quality and such low price.

I am new to knitting, and every project I have made seems to need different needles, so I thought this would be a good start. I had no problem using these needles even though they are not as smooth as the expensive bamboo needles. I have not used the more expensive bamboo needles, so I can't compare usability, but I felt them in the package, and they are much smoother. My latest project is a kids sweater. I had no problem knitting until I got to the yoke, and then the plastic tube broke at the point where it joined the bamboo. I think the needles should last more than one project. I have not yet contacted the manufacturer (this happened last night), so I can't comment on service yet. Maybe this was just a flaw in this one needle, but the plastic tube does seem like it would be prone to breakage. I also got the double ended needles and have used those without a problem.

If it sounds too good to be true, it is. These are fine except for the join, which is of course the hardest part to get right. Every one of them is rough and will catch the yarn; they're not even good enough for emergency gauge-swatch knitting. I'm sending them back.

I bought these about 4 years ago and still use them constantly. I adore them. Not a single one has broken, no joins are unglued, nothing like that at all! The tubing can get a little stiff, but it warms up quickly in your hands.

Bamboo needles are the bomb for knitting. Your work will not stick to them as can be the case with metal needles...as your hands become a little sweaty. Compared to my Takumi brand, the plastic cables are hollow and attach over a small nipple on the ends of the needle. (Unlike the solid insertion of Takumi). For the price, the quality is excellent, needles smooth,

If I were a beginner knitter, I would surely recommend this to begin your collection. Time will tell how long these will last compared to Takumi, but I knit in spurts....and they should last a very long time.

SINCE KNITTING NEEDLES HAVE BECOME SO EXPENSIVE AND ESPECIALYY ROUND ONES I DECEIDED TO TRY THIS PRODUCT.. THE NEEDLES ARE THE BEST AND THE COST IS NOMINAL. GO FIGURE: INSTEAD OF PAYING UP TO $8.00 FOR ONE NEEDLE I GOT THE WHOLE SET FOR THIS SMALL AMOUNT. IF YOU ARE A REGULAR KNITTER OR NOT THIS ITEM IS ONE YOU SHOULD HAVE.
