5.0 out of 5 stars Good summary with details, November 6, 2011
This review is from: Circular and Linear Regression: Fitting Circles and Lines by Least Squares (Chapman & Hall/CRC Monographs on Statistics & Applied Probability) (Hardcover)
There are many hidden issues in the deceptively simple-looking problem of fitting circles to noisy data. This book combines the historical, mathematical, and practical approaches in a very informative manner. Many algorithms are compared at the analytical and empirical (synthetic data simulation) levels. A good balance is maintained between issue of academic interest and practical solutions.
