5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Cookware
The very first time I used this stockpot, I made a chili. After browning the meat and adding the other ingredients, I neglected to turn the flame down so the chili could simmer. Any other pot I own would have formed a burned ring of food at the bottom by the time I returned 30 minutes later, but the Circulon stockpot was merrily boiling. Not only that, but the ENTIRE...

3.0 out of 5 stars Non-stick will wear off!
I have the 12 quart version of this pot and have had it about a year. It gets used about once a week. However, even after very careful cleaning and care, the non-stick feature no longer works. It's still a fine pot for soups, etc., that have lots of liquid but I bought it specifically for the non-stick merits! Also, the hi-lo grooves inside do make clean up a bit...

Not only that, but the ENTIRE surface of the chili was boiling, not just a ring around the outside. The heat transfer properties are wonderful! Cleanup afterward is a true breeze, and though I haven't had time to really test it, the finish looks tough as nails. I'm happy with this product, and what a great price!

I purchased a large set of Circulon 14 years ago, and have never needed to buy a pot or pan since. This 10 qt one happens to be my favorite, and it's still in perfect condition. I wouldn't trade it for any other. I think Circulon is incredible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for Rich Authentic Indian Foods, May 15, 2006
This review is from: Circulon Classic 10-Quart Covered Stockpot
Hello readers,

I am an Indian who likes to cook authentic indian foods like Chicken Biryani's at home when my friends come over every other weekend. When I first bought this pot I was not sure that I might be using it so often in my cooking.
Due to its thick base and the anodization I found it very convinient to cook large amounts of biryani or and gravy's with lot of ease and without any mess. The sauce or the rice is slowly cooked to its perfection with out being burnt. It is comfortable to make "Dum" since it's oven safe.
The cleaning is easy. The greese comes out easily with out any hard work. But be careful to handle it in the right manner like not using any steel stuff to clean or cook.
So I would strongly recommend to all South Asian Indians to buy this pot if you are looking for a comforatable and easy to handle pots to cook "authentic" Indian food in large quantities.

It's still a fine pot for soups, etc., that have lots of liquid but I bought it specifically for the non-stick merits! Also, the hi-lo grooves inside do make clean up a bit tricky, especially now that food doesn't just slide off as it did when new. Glad I didn't pay more for it.

3.0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for (and that's fine), March 15, 2005
This review is from: Circulon Classic 10-Quart Covered Stockpot
Update 3/25/05: (Would update to 4 stars if I could.) I came in late, prepared several qts. of water for pasta (including Italian spices, chopped garlic and olive oil) and promptly fell asleep. Not surprisingly, the water boiled away and I was left with a very hot pot with what appeared to have a heavy baked on residue on the bottom. I let the pan cool, held it over the trash can, gave the bottom a tap and voila, no more residue. Only a slight discoloration remained. I have definitely revised my review up!

(Original) This 10 Qt stockpot was only $26.99, so you are not going to get Cusinart quality. I have this, plus a Circulon 'everything' pan plus a round griddle. The pans are rather light weight. I am still bemused at the circles (ergot Circulon?) etched in the bottom of the non-stick surface. At first, I thought this was something added to shed oil or grease. Now I'm rather convinced these are food catchers designed to make cleaning much more difficult than it should be. The bottoms are certainly not designed for high heat so beware or you may leave burner imprints on your Circulon cookware. The handles are nice and stay-cool. All-in-all, this is an adequate stockpot for the newly wed (or newly bachelor whose ex got the good stuff).

This review is from: Circulon Classic 10-Quart Covered Stockpot
I can't believe this price for a quality 10qt stockpot. This is an outstanding value. This big stockpot should sell for three times the price. I'm going to by more for gits.
