Book Description

4 and up
Come one, come all, to the greatest show in town!

Nancy, Bess, and George are attending Little Big Top circus day camp, and now they're preparing for the big show. Bess will help Splatter the elephant make a painting, George will be an acrobat, and Nancy will perform with Celeste the Hopscotch Poodle.

Then Celeste disappears while Nancy is taking care of her. Was Celeste dognapped by the Flying Tremendoes, the kid aerialists? Or by Orson Wong, who claimed the poodle made him sneeze? Or maybe by Katie Zaleski, who wanted Celeste for the TV program she's taping in her basement? One thing's for sure -- there's big, big trouble at Little Big Top!

More About the Author

Carolyn Keene and Franklin W. Dixon are the pseudonyms under which many ghostwriters penned the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series, respectively. Both series were created by Edward Stratemeyer, founder of the Stratemeyer Syndicate book packaging firm, in the late 1920s and early 1930s.

Stratemeyer's daughter, Harriet, and syndicate writer Mildred Wirt Benson were the two people primarily responsible for bringing the iconic character of Nancy Drew to life in the minds and hearts of millions of readers around the world.

5.0 out of 5 stars More fun than a three-ring circus!, January 17, 2008
By
This review is from: Circus Act (Nancy Drew Notebooks #42) (Paperback)
Big trouble at Camp Little Big Top!

There's three rings of trouble at the circus day camp that Nancy, Bess and George are attending this summer! It's run by real circus people, who are teaching their students to perform real circus acts.

Oh, it all promised to be lots of fun, with dog tricks, a painting elephant, a clown, bright and shiny circus costumes! But somebody has dognapped Celeste the Hopscotch Poodle! And the list of suspects is growing!

Thank goodness Nancy Drew never goes anywhere without her trusty blue notebook, so that every clue and suspect can be documented 'till the Circus Act case is solved!
