5.0 out of 5 stars Dreamy Great book: Favorite of mine throughout childhood, August 9, 2008
This review is from: The Circus in the Mist (Hardcover)
This (mostly picture) book is surreal, dreamy, evocative: a mood inducing piece of art to soothe your children to sleep (maybe 20 words in the whole thing, once you get past the scene setting opening paragraphs). I have kept this one all my life, and still flashback to it on misty days...

5.0 out of 5 stars how children's lit should be, May 28, 2008
This review is from: The Circus in the Mist (Hardcover)
This book has a textile quality that most children's books are lacking. Readers move through the "fog" which is created using printed vellum paper. Munari uses paper and cut-outs to make his entire story move.
