Trains and the Big Top,
By Paige Turner "paige turner" (Kansas, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Circus Moves by Rail
This is a cool book full of photos of old trains, circus animals boarding trains, reproductions of circus posters, train timetables, routing schedules, even bills of lading and the like. Apparently the big circus operations had custom built and custom painted rail cars. There is a chapter with pictures of derailments and other mishaps. Someone else said it is the definitive book on the circus and trains from the very early days to modern tunnel cars, but I have no way to compare - I've never seen another book covering this narrow topic.
