I had the pleasure of seeing Varekai in person, and as soon as I got home I jumped on Amazon and ordered the dvd. Varekai captures the beauty of seeing it live perfectly, and allows you to see so much you would have otherwised missed. The show itself and the accompanying music are amazing as well. If you're a Cirque fan, Varekai should not be missed.Watching The Fire Within was really enjoyable as well. I'd always been curious about how the Cirque shows were created and The Fire Within definitely answered my questions. It was nice seeing some of the cast members from audition to opening night and knowing that those were the people I'd seen on the Varekai DVD and live on stage. Even if you aren't normally a fan of "reality TV", I recommend The Fire Within. |
