With its advanced switching technology, the EtherFast 3124 24-Port 10/100 Ethernet Switch will boost your network performance with much more than just full duplex data transfer and dedicated bandwidth. It features non-blocking, wire-speed switching that forwards packets as fast as your network can deliver them. Also included are Address Learning and Aging to prevent data transfer errors and Data Flow Control to help prevent packet collisions.
The EtherFast 3124 is rack mountable and includes an Expansion Slot that accepts an optional Fiber Module to let you grow your network by linking to other switches in full duplex mode up to 2000 meters (6560 feet) away.

Solid performer for more than a year now,

I have owned a Linksys Etherfast 3124 for more than 1 year and have had to reset it once. I use this switch in a test lab environment in my home and it gets as much traffic pumped through it as my Ciscos do at work. It has never failed to perform to my standards.
As for the power issues, my switch is not connected to a UPS but always resets properly after a power hit.

Solid Switch for the $$$,

This workhorse will perform well in the growing small office. The expandability is at the right price point. BTW - this unit performs well as advertised by linksys.
Power problems? then make sure thay you use a good managed UPS for all your network infrastructure. I always design these in so that critical path network links are always up and running.
