SPA9000 Great Solution
The SPA9000 is a great small business PBX. We have installed many systems and use this in our own business for the last 5 or so years. One addition to the SPA9000 which gives you the ability to make calls from your Windows desktop and applications you use on a daily bases, <[..] - Call Manager for SPA9000</a>.

Don't bother, look elsewhere
I bought this from Amazon because the price was good and it seemed like this is a reasonable IP-PBX for about 10 phones in a small office. But I've had nothing but problems with this and the SPA400, and the SPA504g phones. Also, it seems this combination is really no longer supported by Cisco - there hasn't been a new firmware release since 2008. I suggest you consider...

I bought this from Amazon because the price was good and it seemed like this is a reasonable IP-PBX for about 10 phones in a small office. But I've had nothing but problems with this and the SPA400, and the SPA504g phones. Also, it seems this combination is really no longer supported by Cisco - there hasn't been a new firmware release since 2008. I suggest you consider an Asterisk based system instead. However, Cisco tech support has offered to buy this back from me at the price I paid, but now I'll need to start over.

Our old phone system went on the blink at our office, so we decided that a switch to VoIp was in order.
We were able to set up the SPA9000 without a phone vendor which really surprised our VoIp tech when he came to install our service. It is also so small, but so powerful. Our installer took a picture of it to take back to his company. :) I am able to keep our entire setup in the corner of my office in a nice cabinet with plenty of room for everything to vent. |
