Great to have when owing a land line!

The best thing you can do for any cable/dsl modem/router and the Linksys Tmobile @ Home HiPort is to keep it physically clean inside and out.
Michael

I have T-mobile @ Home service and the original Linksys router failed and was at risk of losing the service because T-mobile is no longer offering pushing offering the service to new customers and Linksys discontinue the original router. After talking to the T-Mobile tech service person. They recommend getting a new Wireless N router and this unit and I would be able to continue to have the @ home service. Bought the unit and it is working great and I am able to continue to save a lot of money over a Land LIne.

I bought this to replace my old Linksys T-mobile router because it couldn't support all of our devices. I hooked it with up an ASUS RT-AC66U Router and it works great. I was worried that the technology might be too old to work with an AC router and after tmobile upgraded the firmware my phone is up and going again!

I purchase this item as a replacement for the t-mobile wireless router version. I personally could not figure out how to configure the wireless router version to keep my internet connection secure - so I disposed of it and purchased this model which does not have wireless functions.

The bad:
I works great except when Comcast renews my IP address. Whenever my IP address updates I need to unplug the power on this unit for 10 seconds, plug it back in, and wait about 3 minutes to obtain my connection again. This is not a really big deal if you realize the connection has stopped working. If, on the other hand, you do not realize the connection has been lost you may miss many calls from various phone solicitors...
In addition, like the internet, if your power goes out so does this unit.

The good: I have had this unit for over 2 years and it works great. It is backfed into my home system which has been disconnected from the standard telco power. This way I can use cordless or corded phones.

Also, the manufacturer tells you to connect this after the modem and before the router in your system. While this functions fine, I prefer to place it after my router so the phone doesn't get a priority signal over my: 1) Netflix through my Nintendo Wii, 2)Amazon prime through my Sony DVD player, and 3) my computers, etc.
It is all of matter of priorities in determining how you want to wire this into your home network.

If you have T-Mobile At Home service you have to have this. Lightning took out my first one, so I always keep a spare. This was available at a fantastic price.

Came in a timely manner. Worked great! It was plug and play. I didn't notice till it came that it wasn't a router but it still is a good product.

I bought this as a backup for my Tmobile home VOIP service. Works well but Tmobile has stopped offering the service to new customers and Cisco,mI believe, has stopped making these routers.

It functions and we have had no problems with it so far. We have had this one for about 2 months, but we had another for about 3 years. The first one gave out, which is why we had to order a second one.
