Book Description

January 1, 2000 Wetfoot.Com Insider Guide
Do you want to know what a job at Capital One is really like-and do you want to know it quickly? WetFeet.com has the best research (and writing) team in the business. WetFeet.com guides are the industry standard-based on thousands of insider interviews and written with humor and skill, our materials are recognized by candidates and companies alike as the insider guide of choice.

A top U.S. bank since it first opened its doors in 1812 as the City Bank of New York, Citibank now calls itself a "global-growth company." And rather than merge with another financial-services firm, it is pursuing two goals: global presence and market dominance. Jam-packed with information and insider views, and written expressly for job seekers, this exclusive WetFeet.com Company Insider Guide will take you inside one of the world's largest financial institutions and tell you what makes it tick. You'll learn answers to all of the following questions: * What is Citibank doing to become the Big Mac of banking? * How can you pursue a career in consumer marketing, finance and general management--and work for Citibank the whole time? * What international opportunities does Citibank offer? * What does Citibank's slogan mean when it is translated into different languages? * What is the Balanced Scorecard? * Why does CEO John Reed have a reason to feel a tad smug these days? * Why is Citibank known throughout the industry as an excellent training ground? * What's a typical day in a life of a global consumer banker, project manager, or fixed income trader?

Editorial Reviews

From the Publisher

"They're objective about the people they write about, warts and all." (Hoyle C. Jones, VP of Staffing and Mobility, Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.)

In short, I think your books gives candidates an invaluable insight into the interview process, what is going to happen, and what is expected of them and what they need to know. I believe it's paramount to have a competitive edge over "the rest" of the applicants. I commend you on your work ! (University of Milan MBA)

This review is from: Citibank: The WetFeet.com Insider Guide (Wetfoot.Com Insider Guide) (Paperback)
This book is not only for job seekers to get a job in Citibank, but also for those who are interested to know more about how Citibank selects its most important asset, human capital.

Also this book will tell you why some promising bankers in the making may not necessary able to fit themselves into Citibank criteria of selection despite the belief that Citibank is an excellence training ground for future leading bankers. To know why, read this book.
