Fascinating book,
This review is from: Cities of the Mississippi: Nineteenth-Century Images of Urban Development (Hardcover)
Interesting book for all interested in the Mississippi River. It contains both old aerial views and modern photographs on almost every significant river town, and short excerpted historical descriptions.
Unfortunately, at least one error: the photograph on page 229 is not Burlington, Iowa, as claimed. |
