No batteries needed is the best feature, with the most accurate time base on atomic time keeping.

I've had the Citizen Nighthawk for years and loved it. No issues. When I came across the AT9010-52e online, I couldn't fine it anywhere to physically try on. I have a small wrist, and was concerned with the bigger size. It is not that much bigger than the nighthawk! I was ready to pull the trigger here on Amazon since I did some research and wanted an Authorized Dealer. My local AD dropped their price for me from $475 to $400, so I ran back and purchased. It works great and looks amazing. It radio synced last night, no problem. Too bad my nighthawk won't get as much wear, and it is too inexpensive to try to sell, so will keep it in my collection. AT9010 for daily wear! Eco Drive, no batter, no opening the case, ever (well maybe in 20 years, I can accept that). Honestly, other then self-winding higher end watches like Rolex, etc., I wonder why most watches aren't Eco Drive, I suppose Citizen has a tight patent on it. If another brand needs a battery (my Tag battery replacement can cost anywhere from $20 - $75), turns me off a bit, Citizen is great.

I love Amazon and find reviews so very helpful, figured I'd be the first to review this watch, even though I didn't buy from Amazon. Google the watch and you will see a nice review as well as a YouTube review.

I currently own a Citizen BL5250-02L, a Citizen AT4007-54E, a Citizen AT4010-50E, a Citizen AT8030-00E, and of course this watch, the Citizen AT9010-52E. I purchased and returned a Citizen AO9030-21E and a Citizen AT8030-18F, which is not available as I write this. I mention this only so you know I'm not new to these watches. I am not brand loyal and did not set out to buy only Citizen watches, but that's what I ended up with, because I could find no other watches that had the features and looks I wanted.

I wasn't prepared for how good the AT9010-52E would look. Pictures don't do it justice; I think it looks fantastic. The AT9010-52E looks good with any type of clothing.

The face of the AT9010-52E is easy to read. The bezel isn't overly cluttered, and the second hand is orange, which contrasts it from the minute and hour hands and enhances readability. The date is easy to read.

As a frequent traveler, having a reliable world time watch is essential. The Citizen 9010 is near perfect in almost every regard. It is easy-to-read, attractively styled, and easy-to-use once you get the hang of it. The radio control works reasonably well in most of the world's major cities. Outstanding features include total control over summer time in each timezone, with the option to use auto settings according to the time signal or manual for areas that don't use summer time or if the time signal is not available. The Eco-Drive lasts for months on a full charge, which I accomplish overnight under a Solarex desk lamp. Although Citizen has models optioned with every possible feature, the 9010 only has those you need: Eco-Drive, second time zone, auto or manual summer time for each time zone, radio control in the US, UK, Europe, Japan, and China, rapid time zone selection, and alarm. A great feature is the rapid, one-touch time-zone exchange between the main and secondary displays, for those who travel to one location frequently. The piece is a bit big and heavy but will fit nicely on most men's wrists, just make the bracelet a bit snug (you can adjust with an inexpensive tool according to numerous online instructional videos). It is quite attractive and is a real attention getter. A real winner.

I have a couple of other Citizen Eco-Drive watches and I am very pleased with them. They are well made and while they are not atomic watches they do keep accurate time. I own a number of watches from expensive (Rolex) to inexpensive (Timex).

I am crazy about this Citizen atomic watch because I am tired of changing batteries and/or constantly resetting the time whenever I grab a different watch to wear. Citizen's Eco-Drive technology is terrific and it works great! This is my third, and favorite, Citizen watch and I must say that I am impressed. Now I have a watch that never needs batteries and never needs to be set! There is a lot going on with this watch. The included user manual is very clear and will be helpful as you become familiar with all the workings of this model. It is a solidly built watch and it has a nice weight to it. It looks great on the wrist and it is sturdy.

However, please know that the description on Amazon regarding its water resistance is incorrect - this watch is NOT designed for scuba diving. It IS suitable for swimming and free diving (snorkeling). Also, if you are looking for a watch that you can read in a dark environment, this is not your watch. The fluorescent material on the hands does not last long when you are in the dark. You may have to remove a link or two from the bracelet so the watch will fit your wrist properly, but that is no big deal. Any jeweler can do that for a few bucks. I paid my guy $5 for the adjustment.

I have tried all the features of the watch and they all work as they should. I have had the watch for a few days now and I am sure this one will move to the top of the heap as far as use by me. In fact, I think it's my new favorite watch. I highly recommend this one.
