I've been wearing this watch for just about a year now. I've experienced no problems what so ever. Yes, it is big. Yes, it is heavy. If you take your watch off to sleep, it will make a thud as it hits the floor; but you have no reason to fear breaking it. I don't think I could break it. I'd have to use some kind of heavy weighted hammer and intentionally, deliberately, try to damage it. I've received compliments on it as well.

I ordered the Citizen diving watch and received it within 2 working days. The watch looked exactly like the photo and came packaged in a nice leather bound zippered case. The watch is a little heavier than a normal watch but that is due to the construction needed for diving. I am not a scuba diver but I look cool as hell with the watch on! It keeps great time and since it's an eco drive watch, it never needs batteries just sunlight. I am very happy for my purchase!

I recently ordered the watch and received it in record time. I own 6 dive watches but this is the flagship!The case that it comes in is classy and the watch is BIG and beautiful. It is extremely luminescent at night and a great dive watch.You could actually wear it as a dress watch too.I would highly recommend the watch to any diver or watch lover.

Good buy, Have used for both free and gas diving. Works well. Only comment I have that is slightly negative is that it sit's a little "high" on your wrist. So seems to catch often on things, but watch built tough enough to take all of this.

I am in love with this watch, it is a little heavy but I can live with that. In new condition as discribed. Fast shipping!

I picked this up primarily to use as a dive watch. It is big and my wrist is only 7", so it isn't the best daily wearer. If you want a small, unobtrusive watch, this is obviously not a good choice. I was concerned at first because the bezel and crystal are both rather thick, making the face/watch hands a little recessed, and my concern was visibility. Not an issue at all - this watch is incredibly easy to read, even in murky water at 130 feet. The orange minute hand really sticks out. No evidence of any water entry thus far after 6 dives. I only rate it a 4/5 because, like another reviewer noted, the second hand and second hash marks are slightly off. This doesn't bother me too much, as I don't use the second hand, but it is a little disappointing. My $50 casio dive watch doesn't have that issue. Of course the casio shows signs of water entry under the crystal after about 20 dives. Overall, I would definitely buy this watch again. Once again, the ease of reading underwater is great.

I will say that it took me several months to work up the courage to purchase this watch. I hesitated because it looked too bulky. In reality it is bulky but that is what I was looking for in this particular watch. Surprisingly, it wasn't as bulky as I thought it would be. I purshased the watch to wear during the warm months with short sleeve shirts. It is an eye catcher but I don't care about that really. I own 4 Citizen Eco-Drives and love the brand. This watch is built like a tank and I love the simplicity. Time and date is all you're getting from this monster and that is just fine with me. I wear my more expensive and overly complicated Eco-Drive watches when I need more than just time and date. If you like quality along with size, this is the watch for you. If you plan on wearing it with dress shirts, you may want to go in another direction because most cuffs will not fit over this monster. All in all another great product and value from Citizen.

The Citizen BJ8050-08E Professional Diver is a great watch! The size is great. It is extremely durable. It holds a charge well. Its one of my favorites. I have another Citizen watch and they are both built well and reasonably priced.

Watch is superb, keeps great time.

Pros:

Never have to wind, runs on sunlight
Came with good charge, working right out of box.
Luminous dial is very visible at night/darkness.
Extender band for wetsuit included at no extra charge.
300 M depth capability!
Simple to set.
Cost is minimal for what you get.
Band very rugged!

Cons:

Big watch..
Can't change band without jeweler.
No day of Week.
Can't find crystal protector to fit it.
Metal keeper on band can scratch desks etc.

Conclusion: This is a great watch that only costs a few more dollars than a high end Casio. I wish I had bought it sooner ! The cons are minor at best and the watch just works. It will partially charge under flourescent lights as well (in the office) All in all, a real bargain! Amazon and Princeton watch kept me posted on the progress of the shipment without being asked... Nice! Great job Guys!

You don't wear this watch....it wears you! Big, heavy, shiny and not for the faint of heart, this watch delivers! Considering the price, I have no complaints about it. I'm a bit surprised it doesn't cost more. I received it as an anniversary gift from my wife and even though it's big for a watch, it's not exorbitantly big. I'm not a "big watch" kind of guy, but this thing won me over. It certainly grabs people's attention. A friend of mine who has an Omega Seamaster was eyeing it with envy. Go ahead and get this bad boy! You will not be dissapointed. It's the best dive watch you can get for the money.
