Well, after buying products from amazon for over 8 years this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review, albeit a short one. This watch is absolutely fantastic and is a piece of art. The functionality included is amazing and this watch rivals some of the best Rolexes I've seen. For the price you can't beat it. You'll also get compliments on it ALL the time so be prepared. If you're on the fence with this watch, do yourself a huge favor and get it now.

This watch is one of my favorites. I wish the high-end watches in my collection were as comfortable to wear as this Citizen. The design of the bracelet band is especially nice. It doesn't cut like a Rolex, and doesn't pull the hairs on my arm like the Tag H and Festina's. The face is a bit "blingy" but well designed to convey a LOT of date/time information. At the price, I was hesitant to purchase since my previous Citizen watches retailed for less then $50, but I must say that this watch is durable and well made, and I tend to grab it and leave much more expensive watches in the safe. Lots of friends have stopped me to ask about this watch....their brows raise when they see it's a Citizen. Bravo to Citizen for making a luxury model that rivals the fit and finish of watches that cost at least 10 times more money.

I recently purchased this watch for my husband as a Christmas gift. He has yet to see it, but his brother and father had to get a peek. When I showed them, both of their eyes lit up. My father-in-law was scared to touch it, and brother-in-law pleaded for me to buy him one! Yea right, I'm not rich. Anyway, this watch is amazing and I can't wait for my Husband to light up on Christmas. Mistakenly though, to add despair to this review, I had purchased this watch from Kay's Jewelers. With only a one year warranty, on Black Friday, it still cost me a little over $600. And thats with 20% off the sale price! Right after the purchase, I researched online and found this same one on Amazon for a much better price. Unfortunately, I am afraid to return it to kays and order from amazon, in fear of not receiving it in time for Christmas. My point being, I recommend Amazon from previous purchases, and this watch is definitely an amazing deal! Wish I would have checked Amazon first before I thought I was getting a wonderful deal from Kays- they could have lowered their price a little more!

I got my first Citizen wrist watch as a present from my girlfriend, 16(!) years ago. Back then, she paid like $550 (CTZ-6687, Quartz AG -5XXX/Cal. No. 6300 Moon Sign - Gold plated/Titanium/Crystal/Japanese made).I've been wearing this watch ever since. Oh, boy, I could NOT even count how many times I'd dropped it! It's been thru some really rough times over the years..., showering, swimming, diving with, you name it! Have I ever had any troubles or problems of any kind with Citizen watch? None, absolutely NONE, whatsoever!!! Citizen must've done something right!
Speaking of Citizen Men's BL8042-54E Eco-Drive Calibre 8700... You know, how they say: "Picture worth a thousand words" ... NOT in this case, definitely. You MUST see and feel it!!! Heavy (true) and very, very impressive! I was really concerned about, so called "BLING! BLING!" flashy appeal - gold tone, genuine diamonds etc., (`cause I'm not exactly that `ghetto sleigh' type of a guy!), but it's really quite well balanced, fashion-wise! Modesty and elegance, two in one! No batteries needed EVER! DO NOT adjust anything else, but the local time, it comes within all necessary settings! DO NOT MESS with `em!!![...]

When I ordered this watch I hoped it would feel like it was worth the cost, and I wasn't disappointed.

It tells time in two different places, has a calendar and an alarm. The hands when adjusted are individually able make complete revolutions after a nudge of the knob, then move minute by minute for a more precise setting. And the Eco-Drive means I'll never have to shop for a replacement battery.

Last but not least, many brightly shining diamonds accent the rim and complement the colours of the watch's other parts.

This watch is very elegant, as the other's have said. It starts to run as soon as light hits it.
I find everything about this watch to be fantastic. I did purchase, at the same time, a gold
Men's Seiko Le Grand Sport Retrograde Watch SPC046. I find it to be just as nice, or nicer
if you like a white and gold face instead of black and only about a third the price of this
Citizen's watch. At any rate the Citizen's watch does have diamonds, interesting dials and
is a great watch. I highly recommend either watch.

It is a very good watch for this price. It has 36 shining diamonds. cal , time, local time and alarm. These functions are marelel avaiable in a hand watch.

First of all this watch is great, my favorite that I have ever owned after over 8 months of owning it. It stands out, looks far better in real life than in the pictures. You will get plenty of positive reaction to it, just make sure to put it away somewhere safe when you are not wearing so it doesn't disappear! The solar powered battery has never given out on me, the quality and craftsmanship of this fine Citizen watch has taken a beating and still looks flashy and brand new. I try to wear it as often as possible.

On the other hand I recommend checking the stores in your area for cheaper deals. With the economy down, many stores are going out of business or downsizing and selling Citizen Watches at a minimum of 30% or more off. Then if you have any sort of other discount(I got an extra 30% off for military discount) it can come out a lot cheaper than online, plus you can get it sized on the spot. I received this watch for Christmas last year and it has held up well. I've never owned a Citizen Watch before, so I didn't know what I would expect from wear and tear of everyday use. This watch looks better in person and on your wrist than any picture can convey. It is very comfortable to wear, it doesn't bite, pull hair, pinch, get caught or get bumped, but it's a beauty to wear and you'll get people looking at your wrist wanting a glimpse of your watch. It fits very well to the wrist, isn't clunky, chunky or too big... it's a "Goldie Locks," it just feels good. I must say a Rolex didn't feel this good on my wrist.

This is an Eco-Drive watch, which means it is powered by light, both natural and artificial, and is converted into electrical energy to drive the quartz movement. Not only does it wear well, it keeps very good time, as it can be worn for both work and formal occasions. There are conflict-free diamonds mounted on the four quadrants of the gold toned bezel, the glowing hands stand out on the black dial face and a date window at 4 o'clock. It has a perpetual calendar, so it knows when leap year is, when set correctly, day, alarm, a 24 hour sub-dial and the months are on the outside of the dial. This watch does so many things, it's hard to believe that anyone could get that much packed into a watch and with a handsome look.

I've worn this watch a lot and I clean it regularly. There is no green spot on or around your wrist when you take this watch off. The bracelet is very well-constructed and the clasp is very good. The person receiving this watch will appreciate the look that this watch coveys, your shirt sleeve will not get chewed to pieces and the hair on your arms will be safe. It fits very comfortably and conforms to your wrist and it keeps good time as well. I've enjoyed wearing this watch during the coarse of the year and if your are thinking about gifting this watch, feel confident the it is a very good choice for a good-looking, well-fitting, and well-crafted watch.
