It is a great watch, very good looking, efficient and cost-effective. Never failed on the time compared to some other brands of solar powered watches. The dial and metal are scratch resistant too. I had harsh bangs a couple of times and still no scratches or bends. Love it...

The BM6555-54E by Citizen is a fine watch for the price. The clasp is strong and the hidden mechanism adds class since it appears that the band pattern is continuous. This is a good watch for those with smaller wrists. At over an inch wide the rectangular face is sleek and attracts a lot of attention. The depth of the case is also very thin keeping it from becoming hung up on clothing.

So far I have owned the watch for two years and the ion plating has not begun to fade and the plating is decently scratch resistant. If the battery runs out it does not take long to charge back up under any source of light.

The only downside to this watch is that it is not waterproof, just splash resistant. I usually wear this unless I am doing work outside or around water; it works very well in both casual and formal settings.

I am very pleased with this watch, Citizen did a superb job.

This is a great watch for the money. It has elegant & eyecatching styling, it is sturdy but not clunky and is very comfortable to wear. I usually prefer a leather or rubber watch band for comfort but this substantial stainless band with its strong clasp has won me over. The watch has not lost a second in the month I have owned it. It is sized just right - not too big so as to get in the way but still big enough for those of us who may have a challenge with close-up vision. (The luminous hands and the unique cut of the hour markers aid in this department as well). Never having to wind it or change a battery is an added bonus. I recommend it highly.

This is my third ecodrive watch from Citizen and it is great. It is slim and light and never needs a batter. I use it as an everyday timepiece.

I've loved this watch since my wife gave it to me last Christmas. I've received many compliments. It fits very comfortably on my wrist. Only con is that the black it's starting to rub off from wear.

This has become one of my very favorite watches. My wife purchased it for me in 2009 and then it was sadly stolen this year. I like it so much that i immediately bought another one. It is accurate, unique, and Tough. It's been through the rainforest and beaches of south america and all over the united states. after 2 years it still looked almost new.

Got this for Christmas from my wife and I love it. I wear it everyday, but it can definitely be dressed up for special occasions. There is a lot of fine detail in the face of the watch. The best part is NO BATTERY NEEDED!! I was always having to get a new battery in all my other watches. I had bought my wife a eco-drive watch a while ago and has loved it. Replacing batteries is overrated!!

Time owned: 6 months
Pros: Low cost, looks great, keeps great time, very nice balanced feel on the wrist, nice bracelet, eco-drive reliability.
Cons: Lumo is just OK, but that's only an issue if you need to rely on lumo, that isn't an issue to me. Doesn't have a sapphire crystal, but Citizen mineral crystal always stands up very well.
Overall: If you're looking for an atractive dress watch, this one is 5 star at this price.

I would like to get this for my boyfriend for Valentine's Day but I need to be sure it is nickel free because he is allergic to it. Does anyone know if it is?

I always wanted to buy an eco-drive ever since I saw their advertisement as a kid, but was waiting for the right moment, (ergo when I started earning) So naturally the moment I received my first PhD stipend I ordered one!
I've only worn it for 2 days now, but I must say- it's PERFECT.
Glad I chose the black finish over the steel one. it looks so much better. Since I have a small wrist it's good for me, ( those big chrono's are too huge for my wrist :( ).
Hopefully this is the first of many eco-drives for me. :)
