I recently purchased this watch for my son who has to wear suit and tie to work every day. It is simply elegant, and although he has owned other more expensive watches, this is his all-time favorite. He has a smaller wrist and it looks perfectly in proportion. The band is simply beautiful leather. He wears this all the time everywhere he goes. It looks good with everything. I highly recommend this watch. It is a steal for the quality you get! Looks even better in person than in the picture.

I found this watch online and decided to give it to my brother as a gift. My brother, not being one of the most delicate and well spoken of fellows, initially said "Yea... it's nice and all, but my Vette is silver." But the more I gazed on that gift for him, the more I wanted it for myself (I coveted my brothers posession). I expected to never see it on his wrist again and planned to swipe it after a couple of months the next time I stayed the night... however, He still hasn't taken it off... Grrrrr... So i finally broke down and bought one of my own. Now, I don't want to take it off either. BTW... I own a clunky old Rolex Presidential with diamonds on the hour and a diamond bezel but I like this watch more and it is less pretentious.

Very attractive watch, solar powered, an excellent idea that works well. No more batteries, no more prying the back off to replace batteries, no pendulum's, no winding up the little bitty knob. It's easy to set the time and date, providing one pays attention to the instructions. I would have been happiest without the date function, just tell me what time it is, but alas, this is the way it comes. I decided to have a replacement watch band on hand because leather bands don't last as long. Amazon didn't list a replacement band for this watch, so I bought another which should work after I notch it to fit.

I have had this watch for a month and I am very happy with it. The leather strap is elegant, the watch is beautiful and I enjoy wearing it every day. I wasn't aware of the hardened mineral case nor the 99ft. water resistance, so that just adds to the pleasure with my purchase.

I bought this watch a few months ago and loved it from the start. It was replacing an 11 year old watch that had two straps in 11 years. After two months the band pulled apart at the face. I was able to fix it because it is just leather wrapped around some plastic. The other side of the strap broke after another month. Once again I fixed it. Within 6 months the leather band looked like the watch was at least 20 years old. It was falling apart. I did not wear it in the water, shower or rain. I work indoors and did not wear the watch while doing sports. I have worn leather strap watches for over 20 years and never had one wear out so fast. I usually have to replace the band about every 5 years.
I sent the watch back and wrote a letter of complaint to Citizens. They responded with an estimate of $60 to fix it. I called them and spoke with a manager. He told me they can't cover warranty for a band that is in this bad of shape. I explained that the watch was less than 6 months old and had not been abused. He agreed to fix it for $30 then said it was going to take a while because the strap is on back order. At this point I asked if they are on back order because so many are breaking and he wouldn't answer me.
I still love the watch but when I do get it back will only wear it on special occasions so I don't have to send it back every 6 months to replace the band. Oh well, back to my trusty 11 year old watch.

Less than a year after buying this watch, the leather band began to fall apart. A few months later the band broke completely off. I work in an office and never wore it playing sports. It was never abused and didn't get wet from sweat. It simply got flimsier and flimsier and just kept stretching until it eventually fell apart. It is also apparently impossible to get a new band or to change it yourself without sending it back to Citizen for repair. I am very disappointed with this watch and do not recommend to anyone. This is a must buy for anyone looking for a smart looking watch.
I just received mine and could not be happier.Even the free postage was a fast delivery.
I was impressed by the band a nice soft leather and the thought of ECO DRIVE.
Very impressive.
