During the last seventy-five years Citizen has expanded its business throughout the world and has achieved recognition as the global brand. The past twenty-five year period has coincided with the company’s dramatic rise to its current position as the world’s largest watchmaker, a distinction Citizen has held every year since 1986.
Beyond sheer size, Citizen is also recognized as a worldwide leader in advanced technology. From the world’s slimmest LCD watch to the first voice recognition watch and the world’s first professional dive watch with an electronic depth sensor, Citizen’s record of ""world’s firsts"" is unmatched.
More recently, Citizen has staked out a new position as the leader in timekeeping with its Eco-Drives watches that are light powered. With models ranging from dress models to sports models to professional dive watches, Citizen Eco-Drive runs continuously in any kind of natural or artificial light for a lifetime of use. Fueled by light, it never needs a battery.

Durable, clean look, and an interesting piece of technology,
By Wiseguy 945 (Cedar Rapids, IA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Citizen Men's BM8080-59A Eco-Drive Corso Stainless Steel Watch (Watch)
I have had this watch almost 2 years no, and So far so good. Simple face without many extra dials cluttering the face. Gives an expensive look at an affordable price. The eco-drive is interesting. I charged it the first day I had it (sat it in the sun) and it should be good to go, never having to change the battery, which means never breaking the waterseal. The demise of my last few watches has been after the second or third battery changes, the seal never quite woked again. So if your in the field for a durable watch, simple classic look without clutter, and no battery changes, this watch is it.

Perfect fit,
This review is from: Citizen Men's BM8080-59A Eco-Drive Corso Stainless Steel Watch (Watch)
This watch is extremely versatile. It is dressy enough to wear to work, but not too fancy to wear with a pair of jeans. The silver dial matches anything you wear, and isn't cluttered with useless auxiliary functions. The watch band is stunning, though difficult to size (you may consider bringing it in to a jeweler). The icing on the cake is the watch being solar powered. You never need to change a battery, and in complete darkness it keeps perfect time for 5 years.

Great looking watch,
By regulator "- yo" (Jersey City, NJ) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Citizen Men's BM8080-59A Eco-Drive Corso Stainless Steel Watch (Watch)
I bought this watch a year and a half ago, and I've hardly ever taken it off since (ok that may be a slight exaggeration) - but it certainly feels that way. It goes great with basically anything I wear, plus the fact that it never needs a battery is also great. I would definitely recommend it to any of my friends or family. I briefly considered buying the light blue face version, but I wound up getting this silver version instead and I'm glad I did.
