Love the watch!, September 30, 2010

I've had this watch for a year now and love it. It is versatile enough that it is sporty enough for casual everyday wear while being classy-looking enough for dressier occasions (though I wouldn't wear with an evening gown, if I actually ever wore one).
While being two-tone, I would comment that the gold-tone is relatively subtle, it appears mostly silver-toned, so if you want a 50-50 gold to silver look, this is not the watch for you. The diamonds are just enough to give the watch some sparkle and jazz it up a bit, without making it look gawdy or too dressy for everyday wear. The mother-of-pearl face is really pretty and adds to the overall attractiveness. I am in a profession where I need to wear a water-resistant watch with second hand everyday. To be honest, I think watches are generally ugly unless they are high-end jewelry ones, and I looked at a TON of watches before settling on this one. I even like wearing this watch, and it easily pulls off that professional look I need.
Finally, I really like that this watch doesn't ever need winding or a new battery, it is solar powered.
The only reason I gave it four stars was because of the price. Although it seems to be in line with the competition for watches made by companies of Citizen's calibre (Citizen is widely-regarded for making quality watches), and was even over $100 less than a similar-looking model from Seiko that I didn't like quite as much, I think $400 for a stainless steel watch (sorry, a handful of mediocre diamonds don't add much value) is a lot of money. It almost seems like you should get a gold watch for that price.
