The Citizen Skyhawk JR3125-55E flight chronograph digital/analog watch is made for the man who never knows what time zone he'll be in from one hour to the next. It features a solid stainless steel watch case with polyurethane hard rubber accents, as well as a polyurethane band that offers stainless steel accents. It's also powered by Citizen's unique Eco-Drive, which absorbs sunlight and any artificial light through the crystal and dial to recharge the watch continuously. The fast-forward timekeeping features include time and calendar in twenty-two time zones, thirty cities, three world time alarms, a 99-minute countdown timer, one-touch interchangeable analog/digital time, and 1/100-second chronograph that measures up to 24 hours. The large round watch case features sleek, modern lines and a bi-directional rotating slide rule bezel. The black dial background features large silver-tone hands and Arabic numerals. It also features a durable, lightweight satin-finished titanium bracelet, water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet), and a non-reflective mineral crystal.

I own several other Citizen watches and except for one irritating detail, this is my favorite. The clasp on this watch stinks. It is difficult to put on and as opposed to the typical foldover type clasps it has very little adjustibility. The foldovers allow you to adjust in small increments, but on this watch it's a full link or nothing, probably a good 1/4" or so. This is the reason I gave it only 4 stars. Other iterations (Blue Angels etc.) of this watch with the stainless or titanium bands may be of the conventional foldover clasps. I haven't seen any of these in person.

It's a fairly heavy watch so if this is not to your liking you may want to opt for one of the titanium versions

The timer and alarm functions are great and easy to use. I bought it primarily for the time zone feature and this works great unless you are looking for one of those weird 1/2 hr time zones. You are able to add one city/timezone that you can input a 3 letter abbreviation for the city and the time offset from GMT/UTC. I wish you were able to add more of your own and delete some of the other preset cities but this is not a showstopper.

The rotating dial-sliderule does work but I doubt that I will use it much. It does look good, however. Overall it is an attractive and functional watch. I really like the solar power feature. It keeps very accurate time.

A tip when setting the time:

Synchronize the SECONDS with an accurate time source, and then proceed to change the hr. and minute times. The seconds keep ticking while you are setting the hr. and minute. Just make sure you ae getting the minute set correctly in relation to where the seconds are. (Harder to write than to do.)

I own two other Citizen watches and I love them. The style is great and they keep excellent time. I put my watches through some abuse and have never had any problem with them. I have coveted the Skyhawk for some time having first seen it in the Blue Angels model. I did however opt for a less expensive and plainer model but the same watch. This is the perfect watch for a "techhead". And those of you who have reservations about doing online business with Amazon, have no fear! I have been extremely pleased with the service.

I didn't think I would buy this watch from Amazon but with free shipping it was the best deal on the net. I went on a 3 week trip to Europe with it and the various time zones was great. This watch is actually not as complicated to use as it seems. The lume at night is good. I just wish the alarm was a little louder. The ruler is a great tool to use for currency conversion when traveling overseas. It is also quite accurate : about 1 second slow per week.
