5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome watch
Very nice timepiece. Unfortunately, you will have to cut the band to adjust its length. Also, the different sub-functions (e.g. alarms, timer, stopwatch, etc.) are accessed by pulling the twist pin out one stop. This is sometimes difficult while the watch is worn. Despite this, I still love it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Defective Crystal -- Citizen blows off -- never again
Having had earlier versions of this watch, I looked to replace it. I paid $417 at John Bull in Nassau. Mechanism 1000 times more complicated involving a dance of pulling out stems and pushing buttons to do what buttons alone did before. Definitely no longer a work watch, a bling watch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Teriffic Watch, September 15, 2009
This review is from: Citizen Men's JY0064-00L Eco-Drive Blue Angels Skyhawk A-T Chronograph Rubber Strap Watch (Watch)

I just received this watch and I will agree with the previous reviewer that it takes a few minutes to set up, but the instructions are clear and once it's done, it's easy to maintain.

If any gripe at all, the rubber strap is too large (and I have a large wrist) and there really aren't any adjustments you can make to it other than physically cut it down...but it appears the strap is designed just for that.

This watch was a great deal for the price. I use it for flying and even it's E6B bezel is usable in a pinch. Always accurate, it was updated successfully in Asia and Europe by atomic clock, not just the US.

1.0 out of 5 stars Defective Crystal -- Citizen blows off -- never again, April 27, 2011
This review is from: Citizen Men's JY0064-00L Eco-Drive Blue Angels Skyhawk A-T Chronograph Rubber Strap Watch (Watch)

In less than SIX DAYS, of on and off wearing, there was a large deep scratch on the crystal. For a watch billed as scratch resistant and supposedly a rugged watch, this was incredible.

Wrote to Citizen asking about what seems to be a serious manufacturing defect -- they basically blew me off with "send it in and we will see." I asked for crystal replacement, but their reply seems to indicate they know about the problem, don't care, and will charge for repair. Returning it to the dealer, don't care if I take a loss on it.

Citizen has really lost its credibility. I know some Blue Angels, will ask if they really want to be associated with this defective product.

This watch is appropriate if you coddle it like a fine Swiss watch. But it ain't one.

Do not wear it everyday, and God forbid you wear it in a challenging environment.

Save $500. Buy a Timex. The crystal will last longer.

Sorry Citizen -- your choice.

3.0 out of 5 stars Engineering Degree, June 12, 2009
This review is from: Citizen Men's JY0064-00L Eco-Drive Blue Angels Skyhawk A-T Chronograph Rubber Strap Watch (Watch)
I was very excited to receive my new Citizen watch. I am sure it delivers on all the promises, however I found it VERY difficult to reconcile time zones and cities etc., the watch also requires access to a radio signal for optimal performance-this was not always apparently available. I guess you need the smarts of a pilot to wear this one
