This watch has almost every feature you could want in a hand made automatic with few defects. Between 1-2 thousand, I doubt you might find a better timepiece. Made in Japan, dual AR coated sapphire crystal, sapphire crystal case back, type pins in the bracelet, 28000vph movement with hand detailing, nice bracelet with hand polished and finished bracelet and case. I could go on but if you follow watches, you would be hard pressed to find more for your money. My only gripes is that it does not have a screw down crown and the crown is not signed(?).

I originally purchased the white dial version of this watch with the blue hands. Liked it so much I purchased this one also. The watch looks way better in person then the photos or video depict. The watch has that classic dress/sports watch look (Grand Seiko, Aqua Terra, etc. etc.) to it with the black dial. These watches are some of the best regulated automatics to ever hit the market.

My white dial is getting on a average +-1 second a week, that's right folks, a WEEK. The black dial is getting -2 seconds a day, you would be hard pressed to find any mechanical watch that can match the COSC Chronometer-like accuracy these watches get, in any automatic, and I mean Tag, Omega, and even Rolex.

The fit and finish on these watches matches most Swiss brands in the $2K to $4K range.

If you shop around on the net, you can find these new, with tags, box, and 5 years warranty for less then $700

I have owed many different watches over my adult years, starting with a titanium Citizen Eco-Drive, followed by an Omega Seamaster, Orient Orange Mako, Wenger Battalion, and finally this Signature Grand Classic automatic watch.

The black dial model that I bought is a stunning piece that can easily hold its own with my Omega. The first thing I noticed was that the dial face has an exquisitely detailed multi-leveled and textured face -- which in my mind translates as a high-end feature - almost as if it's giving you more to look at than just the time. Inside beats one of Citizen's newest automatic movements, the Citizen/Miyota Caliber 9010 24-jewel automatic movement. The watch is covered front and back in anti-reflective Sapphire crystal. Like the anti-reflective coating on glasses, this has a very slight tint to it when viewed at an angle, and this only further adds to the appearance of the watch face. The rear display case is held in place by four screws. The silver hands and hour markers have an inset lume, which glows a cool Citizen blue. The crown is a bit on the chunky side, but luckily has side guards. Strangely, the crown does not screw down and is not "signed" or marked in any way. I would have thought that on a (relatively expensive) watch such as this, that there would be more in the way of signage.

The bracelet is made in China, and if there is a "weak link" in the overall design of the watch, I feel that it's probably within the clasp locking mechanism, which quite frankly feels slightly cheap. Functional, yes, but I almost wish it was more difficult to open, if that makes any sense.

The length of the watch band is adjustable of course, but it's via screw pins (not push pins as I originally thought).

I already own the Citizen titanium AT4010-50E and I have a bunch of nicer dress watches as well. The problem I had with my current lineup is that this watch wasn't better than my AT4010 for an every day wear but it also wasn't dressy enough to replace my "nicer" watches for going out. If you don't already own many watches this may be the watch for you. Amazon was great with returns as always. Just didnt "wow" me enough for me to keep it.

I have been collecting watches for some time now, and I can say without a doubt, this is the most stunning watch I have seen! Less is definitely more, only a window at 3 o'clock for the date, the watch is absolutely beautiful. The swift sweeping of the second hand punctuated by the gorgeous hour markers adds to this masterpiece. The only setback if any, is that it's automatic, not an eco-drive, but I'm investing in a self winding watch box to put that issue to rest.

Great watch, I love it. Beautiful, simple, elegant, and classy all come to mind when I where this watch. Time keeping is spot on and it has automatic and manual winding plus hacking.
I give the watch itself 5 stars but the bracelet 3 or 4 stars. The bracelet just was not at the same level as the watch. The first thing I did was take off the bracelet and replace it with a nice black leather band. It looks awesome.

Would I buy it again if I had to, absolutely.

Everything about the watch says class and elegance. The simple design and materials are what really make the watch shine, even while being a watch without the bells and whistles. It doesn't have all the features you won't use anyway, and focusses on making a simple watch look awesome.

The Signature Collection Grand Classic is very well made, I'm impressed with this watch, and the movement is stunning. A bit expensive but this is no ordinary watch.

If your looking for high quality give the Signature Collection serious consideration.
