I saw the battery operated version of this watch in a jewelry store and loved all the available functions (second hand, day indicator) and the elegant look for the very reasonable price. I almost bought it there but the saleswoman could not get it to work because of a dead battery. So I came to Amazon, saw the Eco-Drive version, read the reviews and decided to go for it. So glad I did. I am delighted with this watch. The gold tone with pearlized face is especially elegant, and if you like leather bands as I do, this one is great: a patterned, shiny brown. It's a 12mm size so nice replacements in darker browns, blacks or even fad colors are easily found. Everyone has complimented me on it. You won't be disappointed. It's tailored, stylish and, of course, quite functional.

I gave this watch as a gift and it is of excellent quality and style. If you like leather bands you will love this watch.

I really like this watch. It is not too large and has a classic look. I have not yet had to recharge it and am hoping that I keep it in the light enough to never have to recharge. Can't comment on that at this point.

My wife is very petite and had been looking for a small watch that she'd never have to replace the battery. I was pretty happy to come accross this one. Seemed like the perfect combination. However, I should have paid more attention to a comment someone else had made. She noted that the size and the grooves in the face made it a bit hard to read at a glance. Turns out that was an understatement.

My wife still wears it, but reports that she often has to move the watch to a certain angle and look a couple of times to get the time. The hands tend to blend in with the dial. Also, the dial throws off a glare in certain light. So, I definitely regret this gift. You might too...

If anyone from Citizen happens to read this, here's a suggestion: Just make the hands and the dial contrasting colors.

Compared to the photo, the watch is a little nicer looking ... the band is slightly darker, but is classic looking. The first band I didn't have to punch my own hole in, great for very small wrists. It is not the thinnest case in the history of watches, but is not overtly thick. Solar watches tend to be a bit thicker (this is my second -- the first is a Pulsar solar) anyway to accommodate the storage cell. The watch is a bit lighter than I expected though, which gave an initial impression of lower quality (for some reason we think of quality goods as being heavy).

The product description errs in the level of water resistance however. The description lists 100 ft water resistance and this is incorrect. The manual says that the watch is merely water resistant, meaning resists occasional splashes and drips. Not to be worn swimming, bathing, etc.

It's a classy looking watch, it's solar, and I'm quite happy with the purchase. I would have preferred a higher level of water resistance, but it's not a hardship to remove the watch to shower.

The watch is very pretty and works great. It is much, much, much smaller than the picture shows, so be careful about that. My wrists are smaller than my 7 year old daughter so it fits me. It wouldn't look nice on a regular size wrist though.

I purchased this as a gift and I'll undoubtedly come back to purchase something similar for myself. It's small and dressy but great for every-day wear.

We have 5 Citizen Echo drive watches in our home. This is the poorest quality strap of them all. After wearing just a few times the band showed wear that is far beyond the usage. I will be returning it.

My husband got this for me for our anniversary. I love that it is solar powered - so no need to change batteries. It is a very handsome watch - I just love it.

I am very happy with the watch but the leather band is very cheap and began to loose its color the first week that I got it. Seems like Citizen could come up with a better leather dye process.
