5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful
This clever book was a surprise, not many in the category that combines apocalypse and humor. Surprises and useful information in every chapter. One of my favorites was the fear of the dark. Bulldog is right, almost all adults are afraid of the dark. Will follow the advice, stretch my comfort zone and get used to being in and sensing the dark.

3.0 out of 5 stars Irreverent, cynical end-of-the -world advice
A quick read. Kind of serious but mostly funny. Loved the pics! Bulldog almost lost me in the first chapter when he described the 'pot effect'. But then I decided to do as he suggested and adjust my attitude - at least until I finished the book. Actually, a lot of what he writes WOULD be helpful if you escaped the immediate effects of the end of the world. Didn't know you...

Wonderful illustrations too.

Boy, does author O'Connor have a creative bent on that all-important question--"Could I survive the end of the world?" According to O'Connor the answer is clearly a huge YES! From a totally tongue-in-cheek, breezy writing style, the author is obviously not afraid of whatever should happen in the future should the world as we know it, truly end.

Within this tightly-packed guide it seems that the future really doesn't look that bad. From getting buff, to scavenging, to heading off into the wilderness, O'Connor has some interesting solutions to just what might happen and how to deal.

It's a riot to read and would make an awesome gift for that Dad or brother or shopaholic sister-in-law not to mention any and all vegetarians.

Sure hope O'Connor gets cracking on his next guide as I need to find out just how being debt-free as well as work-free will pan out after The End.

Actually, a lot of what he writes WOULD be helpful if you escaped the immediate effects of the end of the world. Didn't know you could make a tea rich in Vitamin C out of pine needles! An irreverent take on the end of the world and a cynical view of our present world. You might just enjoy this.
