I went out in search a new dish detergent with the following criteria

- an environmentally friendly product
- no plastic containers
- could be bought in bulk
- preferably eligible for Amazon's subscribe and save program

CitraDish fit all the criteria.

After going through a couple boxes of this I would say that we're happy with it. Our dishes are clean and I feel good about buying one less plastic container.

After I finally figured out it was my previous "green" products that were causing my glassware to become etched in the dishwasher, I almost had to give up and go back to standard products - several of my friends did. But fortunately at a local store someone recommended Citra-dish and it worked! A very good dishwasher detergent that was environmentally friendly and DID NOT ETCH THE GLASSWARE! I am about to buy online for the first time and I see that the box design has changed. My old store went out of business and no one else in my area seems to carry this product. So this review is based on that older box version - I trust the new box contains the same excellent product.

I thought my new dishwasher had joined the cruel fate of the one it replaced, but it was really just that my other natural dishwasher detergent sucked. Citra Dish gets the dishes sparkly clean & does not bother my sensitive skin and lungs. I would recommend this product to anyone with a dishwasher.

This one seems to do the job well. Since it is enviornmentally friendly I am happy with it because it is not only good for the enviornment but better for your own family's health. First couple of uses I noticed some stains and white patches left but found out after a few uses that this was probably old residue that product was cleaning off!!! With continued use dishes seem cleaner and clearer.

As far as "natural" automatic dishwashing detergents go this is one of the best! My dishes come out sparkling clean with no residue and the kitchen smells like delicious oranges while the dishwasher is running. Highly recommend.

After reading all the positive and raving reviews, I thought I'd give Citradish a try. The result was very disappointing. I cleaned out the automatic dishwasher drain, ran a cleaning cycle with Glisten to make sure there was no residue of any kind before I ran the cycle. My automatic dishwasher has its own water heater element which heats up the water over 150 degrees as the box indicates for the detergent to work. Also, I live in SoCal where the water is considered very hard. The result after running the first cycle with Citradish? Very disappointing. All the glasses and dinner plates came out with etching and thick, hazy coating of hard water stains despite the "extra" amount of detergent AND rinse agent I used. So my search for a "better," safe, and effective automatic dishwasher detergent continues...

We are very impressed with this product and highly recommended it. Citradish has become the only dishwasher detergent we plan to use. Based on our experience, it works just as good if not better than all of the other "natural" and "regular" brands we've used over the years. Also like how it doesn't have any intense fragrance to it when used in the dishwasher, just a subtle citrus smell.

What a great product! I have used Seventh Gen but CitraDish is no match. My glassware shines, not to forgot the black dishes I use. I LOVE this stuff and highly recommend.. My only complaint is I had to buy a case just to try for the first time, but now I have a supply on hand. I priced this at our local health food store and each box was priced at $7.99. I saved quite a bit buying on Amazon. Another great Amazon product!

I was really hoping this product would live up to it's strong reviews, but we have been quite disappointed. We have a good dishwasher (<1 yr old Bosch) which was working great w/ Ecover dishwasher tabs (apparently no longer sold directly by Amazon). Then we tried Citradish, but after 1 month of use we are giving up and giving away all the extra detergent left. It consistently does a poor job cleaning, leaves etching on glasses and a white coating on plastics. We have tried using varying amounts w/o a difference. Bummer, I had high hopes for this product.

This is pretty good for the powder dishwasher detergents out in the green market. I like it better than the Seventh Generation, but still getting a little residue from it. I probably need to try a rinse aid with it, but overall it does good except for glasses.
