3.0 out of 5 stars Classic NES title April 12, 2014
By Marcos
This title is now available for 4.99 download on your 3DS, 2DS, or DSi via the Nintendo Shop's "virtual console" portion of downloadable games, in its original format.
It is an odd hybrid of a platform and car/racing game. The object is more that of a platformer, where you must scroll horizontally through different obstacles, your "character" however being a car which you can control the speed of but always has a minimum speed - i.e. you cannot brake to a stop. Quite challenging at times, it is a moderately fun game both for its time and to revisit -
This is worthy of revisiting for the nostalgia and its creative oddity, but compared to more popular side-scrolling platform titles of the mid 80s (City Connection was released in North America in 1985), City Connection doesn't really stack up, but it wasn't a terrible game.
