Really, really good!,

This is one of the best children's movie soundtracks of our times. It's full of action, energy, and momentum, and it has that really great chord progression that Brian Tyler uses a lot (also used by Trevor Rabin in Deep Blue Sea, Howard Shore in LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring, Harry Gregson-Williams and John Powell in Shrek). I find that there is a distinct similarity to Jerry Goldsmith's 'Star Trek Nemesis', and also an kind of Basil Poledouris feel. It is a lot like the soundtrack for 'Stardust' in that it reminds me of many great composers. It is totally worth buying. I look forward to seeing what Andrew Lockington will do next.

An interesting soundtrack to listen to. It provides both sad and happy music and I find it good for listening to whilst doing other things. For those people who really enjoyed the movie, you'll be able to listen to this soundtrack and picture moments from the movie itself (kinda like have mini video clips playing along inside your head).
A good soundtrack from a good movie and I gave it 4 stars. |
