If you're a stickler for grammar and spelling, this book is not for you. There are so many misspellings, incorrect homonyms and grammar errors that it makes someone that enjoys a *good* book cringe.

But if you just want to read a fun book, this is it. It talks about different hauntings in some of the most popular cities in the US. Living near Savannah, though, I can tell you that they have left out some of the best haunts, especially since the book was published after a widely publicized ghost hunting crew found evidence that there is a house that is more haunted than the one the book says is the most haunted in Savannah.

The book contains a lot of misinformation, as well. More misinformation about hauntings in Savannah includes Captain Flint (from "Treasure Island"). This book states that he was a real character, when he was, in fact, fictional. Additionally, the tunnel in The Pirates House restaurant that they say was sealed is not; many people refuse to go beyond a certain point, though. The authors also forgot to mention the Moon River brewery and restaurant.

In short, the book is fun, but will create headaches for those that want truth or good writing. If there's anything that I've learned from being in Savannah, I'm sure this tip will help for any place that is well known for being haunted (Savannah's the most haunted city in the US)- ask an employee if they have any stories. If the place is well established for being haunted, you'll hear some good ones!

While not as detailed as some true ghost books in my collection, I found this one to be informative and fun. When traveling, it is easy reference for visiting actual haunted spots and getting basic information about the hauntings, etc. I was REALLY glad this book wasn't chock full of only current sightings by individuals, but gave the actual history of the haunting.

Of all the books I own about true hauntings and ghosts this has to be the worst. It details very basic stories of ghosts, but no actual personal accounts. I wish I had returned it to get my money back....don't waste your time on this one.
