Essentially a photo-book of Tel Aviv. No real useful order to this book. Restaurants are mixed in with shoe stores, etc. Limited descriptions of the businesses. OK as a coffee table book with lots of pictures, but that's about it. Look elsewhere if you are looking for something to guide you as to where to eat, shop, or visit.

I found this book disappointing. It reads like a glossy advertisement, mostly for stores, hotels and restaurants. (I didn't find a single negative comment in the book -- can it really be that there's nothing overrated in Tel Aviv?) If you want a large format preview of the magazines upscale Tel Aviv hotels provide, go for it. But don't expect useful guidance about what to see and what to skip when visiting this fabulous city.

I am going to Tel Aviv and needed a tour guide. This one has interesting information, but it is not well organized, doesn't have an index and only includes high end stores, restaurants and hotels. I really wanted something like a TimeOut Guide, but this one fails by not giving a more conmprehensive look at what's in Tel Aviv. What is good is that streets and neighborhoods are very well described (history and all). I just wish that this guide were not as glossy and heavy (it is really too heavy to carry around).
